when referring to my AE82 CHevy Nova?

Hachi-Ni (Eight-two)
Hachi-Futatsu (Also Eight-Two)

or, perhaps...

Shibore Noba (Chevrolet Nova, according to one translator)

Please, this is just for fun, I don't want to hear any "Why would you want to do that?"

I voted for Chevrolet Nova, refering to your car as 8-2 is strange

Jim Prower
No. Because I freakin' like the damn thing. got a problem?

I was making a George Lopez reference, although it would probably fit your car better then Hachi-Ni or whatever you want to call it.

Hachi-Ni (Eight-two)

Yes.

Jim Prower
Hachi-Futatsu (Also Eight-Two)

No. Eight-twothings/second.

Shibore Noba (Chevrolet Nova, according to one translator)

More likely to be Shi-ye-bu-ro-re No-o-ba (Sheburore Nōba).

Just call it "junker" and have done with.

Thanks, Famine...(See, this is why I shouldn't trust some translator I googled up.)

though i don't appreciate the "junker" comment.

Why does everybody to want their car names to sound Japanese?

You're an idiot, just call it a damn Nova, you're from Illinois and you're driving an American car.

Not a fan of German bombers then?

It's an American car! Would you really refer to it by something in Japanese to your friends? "Yeah, it's out in my Hachi-Ni." ("You mean that ugly Nova?")

^^^
Also yeah I don't know anyone who refers to their car as something other than "my car" I think it's one of those warning signs if they call their car honkey or something.

No votes for sugoi gaijn mobile?

Chevy. Nova.

And why are you getting uptight when people call your car a trashbox, or a junker, or a worhtless piece of outdated junk on wheels (streteching the truth here.). Just live with it.

You also need to live with the fact that:

1. You live in Illinois.
2. Your name is J.D., therefore (here come the stereotypes), you're probably not Japanese.
3. Your car was crafted in the United States. A Haci Ki Mumaro 85 does not make you sound cool. It makes you sound like you've spent too much time glued to the Initial D arcade set.

Just live with Chevrolet Nova. You are by no means japanese, or do you drive a japanese car.

Sorry if I sound like an ass, but come on. Who wants to call their Nova a Haci Kumo Super Homo or whatever the new JDM name is.

Oh oh pick me! I'll vote for it.

Edit: wait wtf does that mean?

Edit number 2: and who decided that everything Japanese was suddenly cool?

Edit again: OHHH I get it! LOL ROFL!

If it comes from Super Japan, it's super automatically cool. Didn't you know that by now?

Except ukiyoe, they are super exempt from being super sugoi.

ukiyoe is dope, yo. So is sumi-e.

Don't say Hatchy knee, though. It's hahchh-ni. You'll sound more mysterious.

I voted for "hachi-ni", but I thought you meant the Toyota or something. :ouch: I didn't know we were talking about Nova! Also, Famine's way would be correct, if Japanese people knew how to say the name correctly, but we don't. Shibore is pretty close. Pronounced kind of like Shi-bo-lay

Race Idiot
What about sugoi gaijn mobile!
Translated directly, this is 100% correct. Race Idiot is clearly no idiot.

You could refer to it as a Vauxhall Nova and have people laugh at you.
