Which tires do you use for sport cars for more a realistic grip? For example, I use comfort soft on the M3 E92, it feels better and I can achieve realistic times while in sport hard I would beat the real time of a track by a few seconds, while in the M3 CSL I use sport hard because the real tires are semi-slick.

PS: This poll is intended for you to vote in what normally you would use in sporty car, in my case I use Comfort soft for the majority but there is always exeptions like the CSL.

Depends on the car, but I mostly use the standard tires. The vast majority of road cars come with SH tires though.

The exceptions are some of the more powerful cars like the Shelby GT500 or Corvette ZR1. They come with SH tires, but SM are better. (You can actually brake effectively on the GT500 with them.)

And while I'm at it, with race cars, I use RH tires (Never need anything more.), but LMPs get RMs.

But using RS tires on say, a road car that has less than 500 HP is ridiculous and (in my mind) makes you look like a noob.

My rule of thumb is to go one compound down for most stock cars.
A few are fine with the stock tires while some need two or even three compounds lower than stock.

There are a few cars that get better tires but very few (some super/hyper cars get S2 or even S3 in some cases).

Whatever that comes with the car which is usually Sports Hard. If the car is heavily tuned then I use Sports Soft regardless if it's a Mini Cooper or a Veyron.

Comfort hard for sub 250HP road cars ( GT86, FRS and BRZ have comfort hard if want to replicate real life OEM tire ), comfort medium 250-400+HP - some depend on weight and torque, comfort soft - 300 to 1000+HP ( I drove AMS Alpha 9 replica in GT5 on CS tire- GT6 with better physics will be the same ) - these are used when I am cruising, tuning and doing offline hotlap. When online, depend on the occasion, but usually I only use SH or SM tire. Never use SS tire on road cars, it's only for race cars.

Honestly it really depends on what situation needs. If I am modding the car out and I need to grip, I might use slicks, if I am trying the car out stock and want a good feel for how the car really is then I keep it in the sports realm, if gonna go side ways then I use the comfort tires.

I agree completely, Comfort Soft is my preferred tire for having fun in exotics and Comfort Medium for most other road cars. Great avatar too.

I voted for sport soft but could easily go to medium or hard. I miss shuffle racing with sports hard tyres! But I race at the ring with sports soft 500 to 550pp road cars.
