Which Tires do You Use?

When I started playing GT3 i used Mediums. But as I progressed through the game i hated having to pit every 7-10 laps so i put Super-Slicks on all of my cars and now i pit every 25-40 laps.

Well, it totally depends on the race, and the number of Laps I have to take.

Example:

For qualifing I use T7's, trying to get my best lap time in the first complete lap.

Short races, 10-15 laps, I'll run T5-T7's.

Long races, 20+ laps, I'll run T2's.

I'll also run combinations off all the above from front to rear, depending on the cars tire ware characteristics. I do this to maximize tire grip from front to back for the longest amount of time.

Yeah, it depends on the race, but I rarely use tires harder than medium, except for SOME endurance races. I prefer to pit more often and handle better. It pisses me off when the damn computer runs a whole race without pitting. Makes me wish their was fuel constraints.

Also, I almost always run with different tires front and back. If you balance them properly, they will wear more evenly and you can reduce pit stops to replace just front tires.

I use the med tires mostly. I'll pit every 6 to 8 laps using them.

On some of your FF car's, have you tried harder tires in the front?

I only use the super-slicks but when i do actually qualify i use my mediums i WILL NOT EVER BUY SUPER-SOFTS!!! They cost way too much, over $45,000 no way thats as much as some cars in the game. To rich for my blood.

Ahh...give it some time and you will, tires that is. When you get to a point in the game where Credits are no longer an issue, you'll buy them just to try them out.

I mainly use the hardest, in races of 10 laps or more, they work for me, not lost with them yet, but they do take a while to warm-up.

i mostly use mediums.... I don't mind pitting every 10 laps or so, it seems I tend to do better when i don't have to fight the car handling wise... and when i am doing better, I get so far ahead of the comp. that it doesn't matter how often i pit.

Pako T8's burn up to quickly in qualifying after the warm-up lap they are near the red, and T7's are the same way so i think T6's are the best 4 qualifying.

I use the super-softs whenever I can. Hey, I drive hard. I can usually wear them out in under two laps.

If I am faced with an endurance race, I will use mediums. I don't usually like to use anything less grippy.

So whose bright idea was it to make the tires in GT3 so friggen' expensive?

I actually find the super-slicks to be quite grippy, the grippyness i think is only when the tires warm up, but i hate having to pit bout every 8 laps with the mediums so i use the hardest ones only.

It appears that 42.50% of people who have voted use Mediums. I have just one question 4 u 17 people, Y? Mediums stick in my opinion having to pit every 6-8 laps is annoying in my point of view (half my game using mediums I regret it deeply)

I did the same thing, haveing to pit with nearly the enitre race finished in Pro league got on my nerves. Be4 i bought super-slicks 4 all of my cars, and i mean all.

I always use Super Softs for any short race (less than 6 laps) and other than that I tend to move up a level for each additional 8 or 9 laps. Seems to work for my driving style.

Well since this poll said "Select the Tires you use most" i will have to go with slicks. Because most of the races require you to take tire damage.

Oh i forgot. And for the races that dont have tire damage i use super soft. Cause of the best grip.

I choose medium. Its pretty much the all around best. I mean the grip fine and dont wear down to fast.
