White Civic Type R??

I have both the PAL and chinese version of the game but played mostly on the PAL. I've been try to buy a 01 civic type r (EP3) in championship white (cos im driving one :) ) but dun seem to be available. They keep having only the red, black, silver in the late 90s used market. If i remember correctly, i used to bought a white one in the chinese version of the game. anyone knows anything about this?
 
The '01 has never been available in white, at least here in Germany it hasn't. As far as I know, only the japanese '04 is available in white in GT4.

I'm pretty sure that there is a white type R in the honda show room.

And I'm positive that there is a white type R in the 90's used car lot. Its not as common as the red or black ones. But it should appear sooner or later.
 
Hmmmm strange .... that really seems to be a '01 in white. But hey - you bought yours in the chinese version, right? And that picture is from the chinese Version, too, isn't it? Cause I'm sure there is no white '01 in the PAL version. At least I've never seen one, and I got a lot of CTRs, cause I lov'em. :sly:

EDIT: I think we should clear up which version of the game each one is playing, or there'll be only more confusion. My state is that there is no white 2001 Honda Civic TypeR in the PAL version of GT4.

Definately not in the PAL version (well as far as I'm aware) near the Nürburgring.

It should be, but I don't know.

the only year of civic you can buy in championship white is the
civic type R 04'

in my eyes that civic picture looks like the 04' but im sure there is some kind of difference

It's definitely a '01. The '04 has a different front bumper with two more lights, different headlamps and rear lights.

there is a (quite easy) way of checking which color a car can have, you are able to look up which colors are available for a car if you choose the Arcade-Mode and if you have raced the car once, you can look up which colors are available for that car.

The downside is, it doesn't feature the special color-versions of cars you can win sometimes, like the Aston Martin DB 9 - and if you haven't got that car (and haven't raced against it) the car seems not to appear in the Arcade-Mode (but i haven't ruled out how the Arcade-Mode car-unlocking works, anyway...).

yeah... the pix was shot from the chinese version. Always wanted one but never seem to appear in the pal version. Here's mine in reality.

It does look like it says Spoon and the logo is right.

I think the American version has a White '01 Type R...I mean, I think I've seen one...
 
Please don't take this thread offtopic, SERGE.DENAYER!

It seems all the NTSC versions got a white '01 CTR, and the PAL doesn't I'm still waiting for that evidence photo from Christhedude though.

EDIT: Chris just wrote me that he's not home at the moment, and that he'll provide us with a picture as soon as he's back.

Serge, you need to search before just asking questions in other people's threads. Don't start a new thread, SEARCH for the information you want. This is GTP standard game information is availible all over the place inlcuding the threads at the top of this forum. Check things out, then ask questions.
