Hey guys, I finally have a PS3 again after over a year without one, and can now get right back into GT5. A quick question I have is, who are the GT5 tuners who are held in the highest regard amongst the community?

I'm using this site as a main database ( https://sites.google.com/site/gt5tune/home ) with links to copious amounts of GT5 tuners, but, I have no idea who are the best. I have started with "RKM Motorsports" and they seem really good, but, if you could list your favourite tuners, that would be a huge help. I know that everyone has different opinions on the best tuners, and experimentation is key, I'm just looking to be pointed in the right direction. Thanks!

Myself. When I first started getting into tuning over a year ago, MotorCityHami and Praiano are the ones I looked to the most for help. Even now tho, when I don't feel like taking the time to tune a car for a certain event, I'll grab one of Praiano's tunes. His tunes have never let me down.

I've tried a few, but I like the way Praiano's car's drive so I usually pick his tune, and then do any final tweaks of my own.

Clueless Tunes have a good selection of cars, maybe not the fastest (although some are very fast), but bery easy to drive 👍

A good way to pick a garage is to look at some of the shootout results. Don't just look at the winners, but choose a tuner who fits your natural style. Many of the testers give detailed notes on the cars performance and feel.

Edit:
(It is hard to go wrong with a Praiano tune. 👍)

I always feel like Mad FinnTuners' cars have a lot of character. They're fast without becoming boring as a result. For straight performance you can't argue with a Praiano tune. Then you have to keep an eye out for the more fun orientated garages like Clueless Tunes and Wallbanger's Cafe & Outlaw Motorsports Garage.

Performance w/stability: Praiano (just jump in and drive and have fun)
More Speed with an edge: Photo Finish Racing
Fastest track specific for hot lapping: Vagabond (tunes only found in a WRS event thread), EDK (found in same place and a bit less edgy)
Perfection: eclipsee (if you can find one, they're rare  and skill is required to handle them)

Can't agree more. I remember having to run against him years ago in one of the Board Challenges, and afterwards, running his tune. It shaved literal seconds off my lap times 👍

As for my favourite for personal use, well...

Okay, how much do I owe you for this generosity?:dopey:

You can never go wrong with Praiano, or RKM. Plus Motor City Tunes has helped out so many people. Harvey is a fun garage to be around, and The Hill, and Rippers Garage are sadly over looked.

Like some have said before, find one that fits your style and see how they can help. Most of us are friendly... except krenkme, he's an $%&#$%!!!!!:dopey:

Thanks everyone, you given me some places to start experimenting. Yesterday, I tested a Praiano tune for the LFA '10, and found it to be pretty damn sweet. I'll try the other tuners for different cars over the coming days. Thanks again!

Before I started my own tuning garage, praiano was my favorite tuner because he make tunes that is impossible to beat

Thanks my friend, but impossible to beat ????:nervous:I don't think so. It's not what i see online. There i can check how my cars are really. They beat me often. Like this i can see that's it's possible to make better and how much ,this is my motivation.
To speak about my cars, i love all of them. But they are not 100% good tunes.
15% are very good 25% are good 50% are medium but better than stock and 10% are taking dust because i could not find the vain to let them better.Bad.
Anyway, my cars are bases for anybody drive ,race and have fun imediately.
Anybody can adapt them to his own style/track....
This stay more and more difficult to do this everytime PD shut down some settings parameters .........

I love CSLACR tunes, Krenkme top 3 cars are just perfect. RJ and Lion's den were my professors , and a lot of people around here have 1 or 2 or more exceptionals tunes. That's why it's still good to check any car ,any tune build by a notorious "tuner" or a normal GTPlayer.
Gems are everywhere and there is always one especially tune for you that fit perfectly to your driving style.
So be curious don't be lazy , there is a lot of very good people around here.

The thing idk how you do,but with the road cars, your cars handles like what my tuned cars handle like.like my amuse s2000 and my art Morisson corvette.when I tune road cars, the cars that got high downforce is very easy to tune and the cars that got low downforce is very hard,or won't corner that good like my aventador.so is there a way to make road cars handle like a race car

If I must be blunt, and I will: my favorite GTP tuner is.... ME! Probably because I take so long with each car, I kinda get emotionally attached to each one.

Also, praiano is a beast!

The majority of the tuning community is a good bunch.

At the top of the pile, Praiano and MFT are the best for pure speed, easily. But it's hard to fault Wallbanger and Clueless' fun-loving style.

Oh, and of course, I find myself to be a rather class tuner too. :sly:

I must say that all the tuners that have been mentioned are top notch. My favourite used to be Praiano's - I used to use a DS3 and his style of tuning matched the cars I drove at the time perfectly. Though recently since switching to a DFGT some of his tunes have felt completely different and I've been using a lot of tunes by MFT and RKM as well as a few Clueless because I like their choice of cars, some very different ones that I've never considered before. Until I know enough to tune all my cars myself I still think you can't go wrong with Praiano, but don't overlook Photo Finish Racing's tunes - although a small garage, his tunes are very good. Praiano's garage is large, the others I mentioned also have fairly large garages, but if you can't find a tune of Praiano's that fits your driving style, then try a different one, you'll soon find one that fits just right, and because I don't know enough about tuning, these differences are unknown to me, but could only be very slight.

All of the above know what they are doing as well - and can help you out if you need to tweak the settings to make them right for you. I have a lot of respect for what they do and wish I knew as much myself so I could tune my cars to suit perfectly to me, but I don't and until then I shall continue to make use of their tunes.

All my learning is from other racers found online, but praianos tunes are a great start especially when you use them as templates to better find your own driving 'style'. (i throw abit of oversteer into praianos tunes hush hush :D )

Hello pilots,
at first I best suited to the style RKM motors!
With time new garages, and things were getting better for those who do not have much experience!
Today the best garages in my humble opinion are:

Rkm Motors - cars are very stable!
Praianos - Select garage as well, with very comfortable car to drive without fear of making mistakes
Photofinish - has by far the best gear already seen here (plucked with incredible cars gt500)
Cuelless tunes - also made me improve my riding style!

and also enjoying what Praiano said just above, there are hundreds of other good cars tuned here where garages have not specific, but if you have a large list of well-prepared cars where you choose the setup as a base and slowly makes its improvements and drive to your own style!

Thanks to all who share setups, because without them none of this would be possible!

Me :). No but seriously, I started out with Praiano's garage. His suited me the best. For a while I used his setups and then tweaked them to fit my style.

But he's given us some helpful hints to do them on our on and thats where I am at now.

I don't have any favorite tuners. All have good & not so good set-ups (Nobody really has any "Bad" set-ups, just some are better than others). If i don't have enough spare time to tune a car myself then i like to try all the available set-ups for whichever car i want to tune. One style of tune i don't like though is when the rear end is lower than the front.

Praiano's suspension and LSD + my drag style transmission is a lethal combination. As a long time drag racer, I am almost clueless as to how to tune the suspension, but I live and breathe transmissions. With the tune site, I always find myself searching for Praiano's tunes as they fit my driving style best :)
