I saw a person that has 22 X1s. I know they are not dupes because they all different color.
Can anyone tell me how to get some many

Actually, they can be dupes. I have several Formula GTs, each of a different color, and every single one of them was duped.

You need to have 2 or more accounts, and 20,000,000 credits in one of them, and it's a piece of cake :-) You also need to be level 40 in A or B spec...

You also need to be extremely extremely bored to bother 'giving yourself' 22 of any car.

How to dupe?
is there any chance that in the process of it you lose your data?

You save your game data, then you buy a car, you send it to your other account, and you restore your save. I don't think you can lose your data by doing this.

its kinda dumb, im happy with just one x1

Bored enough to do that, or bored enough to grind out Indy another thousand times or so...

How do you restore your save? There's no option at the main menu.

This is probably a really stupid question. :dunce:

You can dupe them. Here's how you do it:

You need:
> Thumb Drive
> PS3
> Copy of GT5
> Internet Connection
> No Gifting Limit on Main Account/Sub-Account

Steps:
1) Create a 2nd PSN account. This shall be your sub-account.
2) While on the sub-account, go through GT Life's tutorial & purchase your 1st car (any will do).
3) Switch back to your main account.
4) Backup your main account's save file via copying it onto your thumb drive.
5) Send a friend request to your sub-account or vice versa.
6) Go back to your sub-account/main account & accept the friend request.
7) Switch back to your main account, boot up the game & send your desired car to your sub-account.
8) Switch to your sub-account, boot up the game & receive the gift from your main account.
9) Gift back the gifted car as soon as you retrieve it from the Car Delivery to your main account.
10) Switch to your main account but DO NOT BOOT UP THE GAME. Instead, replace the save file on your PS3 with your save on your thumb drive. When it says that you're about to overwrite, say yes.
11) Boot up the game while on your main account & retrieve your gifted car from your sub-account. Then retrieve it again out of the Car Delivery.

Whala! You now have a duped car! Now, this way is obviously cheating. If you want to receive the cars more legitimately, just trade with people. Make sure you find loyal ones, too.

how do u know if your account dont have gift limits?

I think it's funny how we can discuss duping yet other stuff is hush hush. It's not just the time involved in doing this, but is there any satisfaction in it? I like to collect cars too. Even cars of each color. But, I just don't see any joy in basically copy/pasting them.

1 car pet day is the limit. "Day" resets at 00:00 GMT +0 time.

Then you must have a fun from grinding oval, it's so much better indeed. You'll get so much fun after repeat the same race on oval for over 2k times, yeah. /sarcasm

At least I'm DRIVING. In a DRIVING game. This isn't Copy&paste-turismo.

There's different types of driving. Technically when you drive a car through some heavy traffic and spend 2 hours on a road, that could've been a 10 mins long = driving too, but is it the real/fun driving?
Same goes for GT. You can have fun driving your favore cars on your favorite tracks, online or offline, that will be the driving. Or you can mindlessly grind oval to death, that will be the driving as well.
If you don't see a difference or actually like driving on oval, good for you. But many people would like to spend their precious free hours on something more fun.

This gen of gamers are so lazy. Not to mention a lack of automotive passion. I miss the days of GT1 and GT2. Much better time for this series back then.

It's not a gamers, it's a developers, imo.
Sadly, GT5 has nothing to offer after 50 hours of playing, except online racing and mindless bob-spec.
I miss GT2, GT3 and GT4 times as well... 1 year + of playing to the each one, 99.8% in GT4 etc
Never would've thought about some cheating/exploiting in GT4 for example, because i always had fun with it (522 races > 130-something ).
I'm not this gen gamer by the way. Started with NES about 19 years ago.
And it's not just GT that's somehow not right on this gen... my favorite game genre - JRPG, kinda degraded as well.
Oh well, it's offtopic etc... but who cares anyway. =(

I understand where you're coming from. I'm 34, so pigeon-hole me in whatever gaming generation you want.

The thing is this:

This game is easy. Most of the races are not challenging. You can buy a car, soup it up, and pretty much dominate whatever race you want.

But getting the cool cars is not easy. I'm at 92% complete. Most of the prize cars I've won are underwhelming. The cars I want are the "rare" race cars from the UCD. When they show up I have to have the money to buy them. It is painful to buy them, because I know when I spend that $4million, it will take me forever to replace it. I will have to set aside hours to grind away to get the dough to buy the next car.

Grinding is not fun. Grinding makes me sleepy. I have no time to grind.

Duping solves this.

Call me lazy. But in truth, it's lazy game design. What makes the game hard is a game economy that throttles enjoyment by making the player grind just to get a (small) taste of the good bits.

The good old days of GT1 and GT2 were not like this.

Who do people get so many X1s .. What is an X1 ? Is it like a X2010 but 2009 versions previous to it ?

Really?

Errrr.... No.

Tuning 1000+ cars took you 50 hours ?
Well done !

Where did you find the parts ? Duping ?

OT : I own no X1 and I don't care : I can't drive it.

Trade, dupe, exchange etc, you name it.

Why do I need all the gt500/300 cars? Why do I need all of the DTM/Touring Cars? Why do I need all of the Rally Cars? Why do I need every color FGT? Why? Because I can. Same goes for all 22 of my X2010s.

Personally I could care less how people wish to spend their leisure time. Moreover how others choose to play their game has no impact on how I choose to play mine.

How is trading more "legitimate" than duping?

And if it IS more legit, then is it okay for someone to have two (or more) accounts, and to trade between them?

Exactly.

Also, many people are simply duping in order to complete their collection and not, as many might think, to overwhelm others online or anything else.

If you have spent endless hours grinding/driving your way to reach level 40 then what's wrong with duping a few Red Bulls, you've earned it - I have four now (one of which I traded) and I use all four on-line, just to be a little different.

There is no way I'm going to leave the PS3 on 24/7 again just to get back up to 20 million credits.

If you turn it around, is it right to borrow a car to win a seasonal race, is that cheating ?
I earned my cars/credits the hard way and am now duping the rewards..........

I think it is ironic that one is allowed to talk about exploiting the game yet newcomers ain't allowed to ask a decent question just because it was asked previously like 2-3 odd months ago.
