who doesnt play GT?

I thought the overwhelming response would have been "yes" but it appears to be "no" so far (at least in the thread). I'm obviously a MASSIVE GT4 fan and I just love how infinitely playable the game is. Whether it be getting 100%, getting all gold license, A-Spec points, perfecting a lap, or just tuning cars. I love it 👍 Bring on HD and GT5 I say

I'm not surprised by the number of "no's". Often people will be drawn into a hobby club or community by their love of the hobby, but over time tire of the hobby and just hang about with their new found friends. Alternatively there are those who become so involved in the discussion of the hobby that they no longer find the time to practise what they preach, and then there are those that become too involved in the politics of their forums. It is this third sector that saddens me most - too involved in bickering about tiny details to have the time to enjoy what brought them to the club/forum in the first place.

As for me, I tend to spend a few months focusing on one hobby/game until I start to overdose on it, then switch to one of my other hobbies for the next few months. At the moment it is GT4 that takes up a lot of my time, but before that it was building Lego models. Before that I was spending too much time surfing the net, and before that Grand Theft Auto San Andreas. I suspect that I am getting close to overdosing on GT4 and will likely switch back to GTA for the next few months, but fear not, I will return to Gran Turismo - possibly once GT5 is released in the UK, though maybe it will be before that as I try for 100,000 A-spec points, and 10,000 B-spec.

This cycle has been going on for years and has incorporated GT3, GTA Vice City, and various PC games as well as those passtimes mentioned above. So at times I may go 6 months without switching on the PS2, but I usually return when I feel like a bit of "button mashing" after a bit too much creative construction.

I just don't find gaems hold my interest much these days. The odd game does, my fave games ever are the Metal Gear games, I'm eagerly looking forwards to MGS4. However games just don't occupy much of my life anymore. I'm far more into movies right now, well I always have been, the gulf between my interest in movies and games has just grown that's all.

After a while, killing zombies in CS:S just kind of became my choice of entertainment over GT4.

My GT4 was sitting at 98.6% done.(guess what I didn't finish). If I remember right I had all silvers and a hand full of gold. On my first run through I ended with around 24k in a spec points. I thought I would start a new save up and go for the high A-Spec points...what was I thinking? That was like some kind of self torture. I got back up in to the 20k's again but only with 30% done and then just got burnt out. I have had all the GT's and will continue to get all future gt's as racing games is about the only games I play.

I visited GTP for more than a year before I became a member. It really helped me become more informed about the game. I now keep myself busy with TT and playing with that photo ride or helping my son get passed tough spots on his games. Now that I have been a member for more then a month, it sure is fun to yak in all the other forums until we have more game substance to chat about. I look forward to using and participating in the forums with GTHD and GT5.

I'd say he's closer to briding that gap, well ish. A lot of his films tend to be game stories turned into films. Probably the closest to bridging that gap is the Metal Gear Solid games, which it's probably no coincidence, are my favourite games ever.

GT4 is a horrible game, and GT3 is just old. So no, I don't play GT anymore.

The community on this website is great, though, so I keep coming back.

I will say that video games are coming back around. I surfed the web for a little while, and was the administrator at a few sites, and I have decided that it gets kind of boring, and their really isn't much on the web I care to see or find interesting.

I have played video games every weekend for over a month, and play some weeknights. I have abandoned Travian, again, and the other sites I was helping with. I like returning to my simple life without having to worry about a website, or having an online game control me.

I have less and less time for video games lately; about once a month, I'll play one of the GT series. And that's about it; I've never been what many of you would call a serious gamer, and the GT series was only reason I was still playing video games. Truth is, I don't have the time for it.

As for the internet and GTP, I only have time at work to do so. Even then, time limitations and site restrictions at work make surfing the 'net a chore sometimes.

Seems I'm the same as most others, I joined for information on GT, then stopped playing and spend most time here in the Rumble Strip. I played Tourist Trophy for a while and even started a little online competition, but I haven't played GT4 in probably 15 months.

I'm done with sim racing. I do the real thing. Go to the 'ring in Germany and get private lessons (see sig) in car control (defensive and offensive). Went there again yesterday and I've been told by my instructor that I have more than the skills to become a car control instructor myself if my French was better. I even have it in me to become a race car driver and I have a very good coordination (even with the medication I'm taking for my depression), (again, told by my instructor and he knows what he's talking about). So I don't care much about sim racing or GT4, GT5, GT HD or what ever.... I miss it from time to time only when I'm bored.

I haven't played GTx since I bought my xbox like a year and a half ago. Now I've got my 360 and I couldn't be happier with it.

I just didn't like GT4 all that much. The control physics seemed to be designed specifically for use with the wheel and I didn't feel like dropping the cash on it.

I got the game when it was released back in February 2005. I can't believe it will be two years old already in a couple months. Anyway, I stopped playing about a month or two after I got it. It has sat ever since until recently. I got it out again and am playing it again. For how long, I don't know. I really like the photo mode. I love tinkering with the various options.
