Who else enjoys GT5's music?

I'm not a fan of the Intro music on the US version. (Would much rather have the Japanese prog-rock instrumental --actually a very good motif... and reminds me of the older, and better, gran turismo games).

The in-race music, I have off, so I can keep track of the revs, as well as talking with other racers online.

The menu music, I'm actually a fan of. I like almost all the titles, but I agree that the used car loop is short. The GT-Auto rendition of 'The Entertainer', although old and overused, is actually an interesting performance, with some cool tempo and dynamics manipulations (I still hate the 'toyish' vibe of GT-Auto... when are we going to get a real 'custom-shop' feel??)

Final thought: As much as I like the menu music, I've had it off for the time being, because I like listening to the cars' starts when you 'change car' in the garage!! Cool new feature. Listen to the sound of the TommyKaira when you turn it on in the garage!
 
me too... I likethe menu music very much..
and if you browse into music library, there are songs that belong to previous GT series, and not used (R, M, S not selected)
 
This is the first GT that I have been disappointed in the music. I changed it quickly I need metal to race. Glad they let us change the menu music too.
 
As a kid with a hipstertastic music taste, I find that all of the songs (with the exception of MCR's song) really good. I was surprised at the amount of indie stuff they had on there.

I'm a big fan of jazz/lounge material as well, so I guess you could say I enjoy the whole soundtrack. In fact, I have the OST on iTunes right now. :)
 
I like the menu music, I loved it in GT5P and as kind as PD is they gave me an option to turn it on in GT5, I love this game, the more I have it the better
 
To me, Planetary (go!) fits the opening movie quite well. One of my favorite songs in game is "Escape Velocity" by The Chemical Bros.

For some reason, the song "Horsepower" by the same artist isn't there even though it was in the "banned" Red Bull trailer.

With every GT game comes controversy.
 
I loved the music in prologue and was quite saddened they had only kept one song (Or one familiar song) over to GT5, but Instead they loaded it with even more incredible songs. I do listen to music while driving, and I just think every piece of music (Except for the my chemical romance intro song) is perfect.
 
GT-Auto... I have to mute the set before I enter, the music "Entertainer" is that annoying. GT-Auto section represents what another culture seems to consider funny and quirky with music and animations. To me they are just annoying and poorly done and the whole theme doesn't fit the rest of the game. I avoid GT-Auto as much as possible.
 
I've noticed some of them have odd names. My favourite one is 'The hat flew away by wind.' :lol:

There is one song that plays now and then just before you hit the start race button, that goes something like "I dont even know, the way I love you so" or something like that, I love that tune!

It's on the OST I found "somewhere" on the net.

I also like the used car sales but that's not on there :(
 
I LOVE IT, its the best music selection of any game I played! I love menu music! I love GT's racing music, now Im selected all GT music to play at main menu since I use my own music in racing.. 👍 the only thing is that annoying license test menu kids screaming, online music is still not allowed to play my own tracks and some beats don't change in GT online lobby which is siting on my nerves! :crazy: ohhh yes, as sems4arsena just remind me that annoying and worst GT opening soundtrack in history My chemical romance is crap.. even when making a song dedicated for GT.. Moon over the castle forever! 👍 this song can make me cry!
 
Although the music in the game is brilliant, I prefer my own BGM.
However, sometimes when I race online I happen to hear a song that catches my attention. A woman singing something like: 1 for the ..... 2 for the ....
I searched through the racemusic library but couldn't find it.
Anyone here who happens to know what I'm on about? Pretty please?
 
I love the Friendly Fires cover of Hold On. And the song that plays sometimes before the race starts is not in the play list, but its Pnau - Baby (Breakbot remix)
 
All I tend to hear is that song with the little kids singing, during the menus. I'm pretty sick of it. Would be nice if there were at least SOME rotation of that main theme. Or if I could have my own music there.

I never listen to music when racing and I've got my own stuff playing during replays, so I can't really comment on the overall soundtrack.
 
I have all race BGM turned off, I just don't like having music when I'm racing, even if it's a good song.

I have everything off in the menu too, apart from Rock. I really like most of these songs, even though I've never heared of quite a few of the artists :L

I'm a big fan of Planetary (GO!), although I'm a big fan of MCR in general, their new album is amazing :D

I cannot stand the Premium Dealerships music (the first song anyway) and although the music in the Tuning shop/GT Auto/UCD is bearable, I'd rather it just played the BGM that I have selected instead of stopping halfway through a good song.

And what's this intro video with Planetary (GO!) as the BGM? I haven't seen it?
 
I've been completely soaking up the songs by NORIHITO SUMITOMO. Especially "Solitude" and "Tracks of Dream". Great arrangements...awesome solos

Can't remember. But probably GT too yeah. Can't remember me ever actually liking amy GT's music at all... I LOVE Need for Speeds music though (Hot Pursuit 2, Underground, Underground 2, Most Wanted, Carbon and ProStreet).

Anyway, you can always put the NFS music to GT and you will have no problem at all 👍

In the other hand, lator-illa, Solitude and Tracks of Dream are JUST great. I mean, you can actually feel like a Sunday in red going slowly to your mind...

Agree with this one. There are only 5 other songs I find relatively annoying though...the music here is very well chosen, even if no one has heard of the guys and gals who made the songs.
 
Quality of the performances and recordings in the jazz and classical music in GT5 is absolutely stunning, they are masterpieces in their own right. Some people might not enjoy the style, a difference in taste, but nobody can deny the quality. I don't have music on in the races, so i generally don't have to listen to the rest of the music list (which isnt bad, but not to my taste) while playing. The jazz/classical stuff isnt what i would listen to in my own time, but it makes good background music and fits in well with the the theme GT has set over the years.

I was looking for an avatar to use, at the time i was in an "i am in love with Natalie Portman" phase, and i saw her i was like.... Must have..

And it stuck.. Nothing wrong with having an avatar that's nice to look at ^^.

I'm quite fond of some of the race BGM in this game, mainly due to the music being relevant to my interests.
