Well i have to say that i hate the idea of transfer my cars from GT PSP to GT5, it just a game breaker IMO, GT PSP throw you soo many cars so fast, i already have almost all the cars im interested, so it will take away the fun of GT5 career having those already.
If you like the option, good, i think a bad one and for that im not going to use it, that lead me to enjoy unlocking anything at GT5.

Anyone feels the same about that feature?

If I can choose to carry over a single car to start with, I would (nothing too powerful - maybe a stock Lancia Delta). But besides that, I won't transfer any cars.

I will have 2 profiles,a GTP one where I will transfer the cars to and use it for online and my current one will be a start from scratch profile.

Mmm from that point of view doesnt sounds bad. Also if i can transfer one car would be decent too (in case theres a horrible way to get a car, like a 6 hours endurance race), i dont think the option its going to be like that, but if it is like that then it could be good.

I'm pretty sure I'll be doing this too. I want to work my way up through the career mode, but I want to do it at my pace. I don't want to have to spend 40+ hours the first week desperately trying to earn enough cash for the cars I want to use online.

I like that "unlock the cars" aspect of GT so I definitely won't transfer any.

It's a matter of what you enjoy though.

I am still on the fence about getting GTPSP. But if I do get it, yes, I will be transferring them over.

Ill try and hold off for 2-3 months but if school is busy and I need a car for an online race I may just load the cars from my psp.

To be fair you will most likely be able to use some cars out of the box in arcade mode (like gt4).

AND most of the really cool cars will still have to be unlocked by doing an epic series of races.

80% Hell no! And 20% Hell yeah!

I need some GTP event cars, too, on that 20% if I need it, but to enjoy GT5 to the fullest I will start from scratch either to buy a high mileage old Supra TT or an old lancer evo III, because we all know the good old used car section will be back! Just like the good old days ;)

No way in hell am I transfering cars from GT PSP.

Create a poll

And me, I would not transfer. I love to start from scratch

But, when I restart the whole game, maybe then i can transfer some fast cars to get a heads up. Only when I re play the entire game on my third or fourth time.

I Wont Transfer The Cars I Feel It's Cheating Through GT5
(EXAMPLE) I Could Transfer A Ferrari F2007 And Beat The Game In A Month Or Two.

I don't have a PSP, so obviously don't have GT PSP, so I won't be transferring anything.:sly: Mind you, I wouldn't even if I could, as I feel it would spoil the experience.

*raises hand*

Idk- I think even if we have the option of transferring stuff from either game (PSP or 5:P) I won't be doing it.... I think. Na- I'll start from scratch, just like with GT4, and build the car up. Why not right? Lots more playing time. Lots more fun really.

I will.

I like the new philosophy Kazunori "invented" - if you EVER purchase a new car in GT game, it should be "yours" in every next GT game. Simple, logical and up to overall GT series philosophy of "ownership".

Also, since I'll be spending 90% of my GT5 time in private online races, I want to have as much as possible for the start.

Also notice that "PSP" cars will probably not going to "work" in GT Mode. You'll probably unlock them for Arcade mode and Online only. In order to race online with your Garage cars from GT mode (tuned, painted, whatever we'll be able to do with them) you'll probably need to "earn" them as in the previous GT games.

What is the 'deal' exactly?

The day that GT5's delay was announced, I sourced an old PSP Phat that someone was practically giving away, and ordered GT PSP, to which I've got a fair few cars now..

I won't transfer cars to GT5 if it shortens the game experience, I like to 'earn' my cars, and lets face it, GT PSP's driving experience is very much dumbed down to what I expect GT5 to be, and I'd relish taking the time to get the cars rather then just being gifted them straight away..

If it's a case of the cars are just made available to purchase with in-game credits, and I still therefor have to earn them, then I probably will transfer them so I can access my favourites at an appropriate time.

Totally agree. Transfering cars almost makes buying GT5 a waste of time, even if you are going for arcade and online only. The whole point of the game is to earn your cars, and this concept of ownership from game-to-game is just going to make each successive version more and more pointless. If that's how they see things going, stop the release cycle. Simply add updates to the game and new downloadable cars and tracks. What's the point in getting GT6, only to have your entire garage transferred over? That's the bulk of the reason why you play the game in the first place gone right there.

Still, all theory, because I'm not even going to bother playing the joke of a game that is GT PSP.

I'll just set up an extra account I think,
and transfer them there .. for online races etc. and when I just need to drive a particular car I don't have yet.
But 95% of the time, I Will be on the account where I'm starting from scratch.

I just want to cross over my Blue RX7 that I've always had first, ever since 1998. I am tempted to transfer a few of my absolute favourite cars, but aside from that I want to work up the ladder too.

This.

If i end up buying GTPSP (which i probably will, despite the stupid rubber banding) i will not transfer the cars.

I don't care if they are transferrable, i see them as 2 different games.

I wouldn't mind a bit of money to transfer though. I would play the game as normal until the point where i need to buy cars i don't want to complete events like lightweight k cup and truck racing etc. I figure buying cars for these events is a waste of money and effort, and an extra 50k at the start would be very welcome, so i can get those out of the way earlier.
