Who is your favorite D1 Gran Prix Drifter?

I pose this question to all TRUE drifting fans. Who is your favorite D1 Gran Prix drifter?

My favorite drifter is Nobuteru Taniguchi

I would, but they have little or no respect for drifting. So I have been forced to put it here, or no one will post on it.

This question is for all of the REAL drift fans out there. Because I believe that drifting should be left to the pros, I want to know who your favorite D1GP drifter is. My favorite is Nobuteru Taniguchi because he has an awesome drift car (even though he was beaten by Kazuhiro Ueo in the D1 Gran Prix U.S.A competition)

BTW the picture below is from Taniguchi's round against Ueo. Still gets me all teary eyed

Koguchi and Ueno are probably my favorites. Koguchi's got crazy style and you've gotta love Ueno's Soarer.

I agree with Ueno, it must take immense skill to drift a Toyota Soarer. And Koguchi is pretty good, but you have to remember that he's been drifting for about 11 years, so he's had a lot of practice. I also like Seigou Yamamoto; he's only been drifting for 4 years and he's as good as, if not better, than many other drifters in the D1GP

Id have to say Ken Nomura cause that dude has so much character and i love the 34. But they're all stars and anyone at that level gets my respect

i like koguchi.. i love his 180.. that car is sweet.. and kazama is pretty crazy.. when he came down here, he was drifting while sitting on the door!

Wow, your drift video on that link sucks. The picture quality is really low. I could probably do better than that, but I guess im nowhere near as confident as you are. But at least the drifters that you chose were good; kazama drives a blue S15 Silvia, right?

The drifts were good, though. Gotta love Miata drifting.👍 Thanks for understanding what I meant, and I hope I can put up some videos of my ARTA NSX drifts.

Youichi Imamura and I love this FD. Only Japanese Driver that was using a LHD car.

and NomuKen, Funny as hell and I love the smoke he can produce. Plus he used his personal car at the US D1. Had a full interior including in dash dvd player. For some reason his sponsers/company didn't want to ship the Pro car here.

Yeah, APC has actually done"prep work" on some of the drift cars in the U.S. events. They probably tried to put Altezza Taillights on Komatsu's 180SX

mine would have to be Masatoshi Asamoto witht he orange Rx7 along with ken nomura seeing that he is about the only good one with an R-34

Actually, APC is serious about drifting. Supposedly they're trying to change their image and that's one of the reason they've been funding Team Orange. They're paying for all of Team Orange's expenses, track fees, shipping fees, driver salaries, etc, etc. So if you've seen them at a demo, you have APC to thank for it.
They're also releasing a whole new line of "Drift Spec" parts, which sounds "ricey", but it's actually made with the help of the owner of K-Style as well as some other well known and credible japanese drifters. From what I've heard, it might even just be rebadged K-Style products (which would be awesome). I've also heard that APC is going to be selling Kei Office suspension and MSports body parts. These are all very good things, so I guess we'll just have to wait and see how things go.

haha yea i wasnt quite sure just seeing that i have seen other skylines compete during qaulifying, any yea, hes good =)
