Who likes puppies?

If he was my teacher and mentioned anything about feeding puppies to his snake I would have stood up, punched him in his face, and I would have walked over to the snake's cage and proceeded to cut it's head off.
 
"They were unwanted puppies, donated by an animal shelter." Does that mean they were donated by the animal shelter to the teacher for the purpose of feeding a snake?


"Biology teacher Matthew Patton figured it would be a good science lesson to feed them to the boa constrictors he keeps in his classroom." What kind of "science" lesson is that? Let's see if a hungry snake'll eat puppies...:reallyodd::confused:
 
The snake did nothing wrong, no need to punish it, plus you would be in trouble for animal cruelity;)

Sure, its wrong to feed puppies to a snake, but that just how we as a society are. If he did feed the puppies to the snake, at least the puppies would have gone to a good use. (not to sound mean or cruel, but we all know what happens to unwanted pets at a pound:()

I would say the animal shelter knew little to none about what was going down.

I could think of a couple of things you could learn from something like that. Snakes are amazing creatures, especially boa's. Any creature that can un-hinge its jaw and swollow something much much larger than its mouth is amazing.
 
Yeah, I've heard about this. Biology teachers are a sadistic lot anyway. I think the twisted sumb*tches really get off on stuff like this. :mad:

Putting the puppies to sleep is a damn sight more humane than feeding them to a snake. Not to mention the Discovery Channel - you can see snakes eating all kinds of animals anytime you want. So no, I don't buy his arguments. :thumbsdow

ffed the teacher to the snake, then kill the snake and eat it as a delicacy. Sounds like a good plan to me...

That puppy thing though...that's just sick. :(
 
Whats with you people and killing the snake? It only doing what natural for itself.

Its like someone cutting off your "private areas" just for going to the bathroom.

Killing the snake is the stupiest comment that could be mentioned. I love how our society romantisizes animals, but others it is fine to kill. I am not in favor of animal "cruelty" but that can be termed several ways..

I think you would object to hunting too??
 
I am stepping away from this topic or some people will probably get angry about my "realistic" views...

And I will probably start calling people hypocrits...
 
If he was my teacher, I would have promptly stood up, walloped him on the nose, walked over to the snake, picked it up, and let it feast on the teacher.
BTW he should have been fired.
 
People need to make snake food. Like dog or cat food. That would be nice to all the mice in the world...
 
Well I agree with not blaming the snake.

But the teacher, cripes WTF was he thinking. Definitely wrong to do that. :thumbsdow:

They already have that. Its called "raw steak chunks":)

Great idea though, but it would have to be meat, i dont think you could convince a snake to become a vegitarian:D

You can't force a snake to change its habbits.... And dogs and cats are perfectly natural prey for a snake. Mabe I can find that newspaper article about the snake under someones house.... Bye bye stray cats...

I guess the major issue here is cultural - much in the same way as most Westerners find the concept of Koreans eating dog meat offensive. Can't blame the snake - food is food, whether it fetches sticks or not.

That said, the teacher was certainly guilty of severe insensitivity - in a class of children, many of who no doubt own dogs, witnessing a snake devour a puppy would have been extremely traumatising.
 
I can't believe this post caused so much controversy. I just thought it was something that someone might read and find a little bit interesting... maybe get a few replies.

Oh well... I guess one can never tell.
