I love California! I've vacationed there many times and I would love to live there someday. It's one of the most interesting states because you can get a sample of almost every single kind of climate and landscape. In Tahoe, you have the rustic Alpine setting with lots of snow. Going west, you hit desert, rolling hills and forests, farmland, and then the beach!
Cali's got nice terrain, but LA is horrible, you can;t do anything w/o a car, we have a horrible bus system and almost no subways. Bu the racing scene's noce. The problem is the fact that it's burning hot year-round......
I hate california. All the smog, and too much sun. I wouldnt hate it so much if i didnt live outhere in the boonies (not really, more of a suburban neighborhood) if we possibly had SOME racing around.. I wish i lived near you Rice! Im sure id have lots of fun
I even saw a Lamborghini Diablo for the first time:
I was only out there for two weeks, and my family did the south half of the state in two weeks. Fun, but busy. We rented this 2002 Ford Expedition. The thing is huge, but there are no speakers for the back seats, so I couldn't hear any music. And The suspension in the back was really bad. I felt every single bump we drove over. Still a good car, though. I really enjoyed CA, baybe I'll go there again some time.
Los Angeles is the Meca of cars, and I cant complain about too much sun, I love the sun and beach and girls and driving reclessly on sunset, or Mulholland, or on the freeways when there empty which is not very often. I love the traffic, the smog, the honking all of it.
Originally posted by Talentless I would if there weren't so many liberals there. Well, I'd enjoy the land, not the politics. I'd probably be beating up the students at Berkeley.
Anyway, I love it here in Cali. BTW, for those of you complaining about smog-- Just drive about an hour north of L.A., and you get into pristine air country, where I live. The smog's really only concentrated in The Valley area (in CA, "The Valley" refers to an area of southern CA consisting mainly of L.A. county...). I don't like northern CA though... I just don't. And how could you complain about the sun? I'm not having any trouble with it right now at my computer... :smilewink
me and a couple of mates are gonna come to Cali' next July for a holiday(from th UK), we are starting in LA then driving up to Monterey to see the WSBK at Leguna Seca, then we are gonna head up to San Fran for a few days....let us know if you think there is something or somewhere we should do/go while we are there...
