Who Says Sebastian Loeb Challenge Is Easy?

No need to lie, man, seriously, I'm sure it was SRF off, it's the first thing I do when I enter any event, turn all the aids but ABS off.

I have the gravel challenge beat by a similar margin. Toscana, though, it's a bit closer, like 2 seconds off the gold.

Set the torque distribution to 50/50 and you'll be laughing at this event.

Yes as ruffo said, i think the less AIDs you are using the better is it for car speed. ABS to 1 is ok otherwise breaking could become a nightmare sometimes.

I have set the torque distribution to 50/50 too and I think it is quite efficient.
I found the Gravel one the hardest. For some reason on snow there is still lots of grip.
I never managed to catch the ghost car because as soon as you still see it fairly close then you will gold the events.
I am using a wheel so it might help quite the car straight.
Skidding at minimum is required. Loeb challenge is not a drifting challenge.
The more you keep strait the car the better it is.
The C4 is a great car which corners so well.

Good luck with your challenge. 👍

To be honest, I couldn't even bronze any of the rally events without SRF.
This was my setup and I DESTROYED the rally events with it:
SRF: ON
ABS: 1
Transmission : Automatic (shame on me, but you have to shift far too often otherwise)
Everything else: Off

EDIT:
Also the AI sucks on snow. I absolutely love it though. Easy and fun drifts.

Didn't really have any difficulties golding this one. Didn't change any driving aids and I use a DS3.

This challenge is not that easy. Especially the Chamonix lap is pretty difficult. With all aids off that is.

Turn on SRF like in the vid posted in this thread and it's a breeze. I could only manage silver at first with the standard torque distribution. Changing the torque distribution to 50/50 got me gold at the next attempt by almost 5 seconds.

Don't let you fool by the people who say it's easy. If you want to get this event done, turn on SRF. If you want to improve your driving, keep SRF turned off and have a nice challenge 👍

For the 900000th time, SRF off in the video

I wouldn't say easy, but it wasn't the hardest challenge. I golded them all with a DS3 with the only driving aid being ABS 1. The hardest part for me was getting a clean run, but once that happened i got gold. :)

If you're really struggling turn SRF on, it gains you heaps of time.

I had to gold Eiger and Charmon twice, I botched a duping and had to restore an old save. :( Anyway, my settigns were to have all driving aides off, ABS to 1. I also set my wheel to simulation. It made a huge difference. Once the race started, I set the 4wd to 50/50 and the brake bias to 6/4. I golded both by 4 seconds and neither lap was close to perfect.

The hardest part about Eiger is the decent down hill from that hairpin all the way down to the radio tower. If you can still see the ghost once you reach the bottom, you should be just fine.

I could get two of them on gold. Then i heard about having to turn off all assist. Then i golded the last one easily..
Offtopic: The same goes for the nascar challenge, but there you have to turn off the ABS to turn off the greyed out ASM. Its impossible to get the lvl 21 challenges done with the assists on.. What a masterpiece this game is huh...

Do you have the racing line on?

Cause as soon as i turned that off, i overtook the ghost car, won by like a minute or something, using a DS3

Edit: could help to stay about 1 gear ahead of that suggested gear thing, even with an auto transmission

I found this event tricky as well but managed to gold all 3 events to win the C4 using a G27. I had all assists off except ABS 1. I didn't tweak the setup at all.

My best advice is watch the example replay once, twice, three times. Memorise the line, the fast(ish) corners, the slow corners etc. The thing is with rally is it's more to do with precison and control than speed. Most people will drive it thinking they can floor it, wrong! You need to slow down to speed up. Sounds Irish but give it a go.

I got all golds after a LOT of trying and I suck at those types of tracks. If I can do it, you can too :)
And BTW, that car you win is WELL worth the work!!! :D

It says you have to "reach the finish line before the ghost car" in the description. That is impossible. Beating it in time, however, is very possible.

Automatic
TCS 3
SRF On
ABS 1
Everything else off

Practice, I did all of them other than the snow one on my first try because I had just finished all of the other rally special events.

Wow, I just murdered the Eiger Nordwand course with your guys' tips. I've never watched rally in real life, so in the game I took the "keep it full throttle!" approach and was sliding and drifting everywhere. Needless to say, I failed miserably and couldn't even bronze it. With trying to maintain traction and sliding as little as possible, I beat the gold time in one go by over 8 seconds with a 4:00.484. It could have been a few seconds under the 4 minute mark, but at the end I drove like a, ummm...kitty, as to not wreck.

Thanks for the tips!

On Eiger I tried for hours, eventually went from fail to Silver, then I tried snow lmao FAIL. So I turned skid recover on and golded everything, did the same for all the rally events too. Got gold, quit and I'll never touch them again. You win this round Loeb.

My first full run on Chamonix with nothing but ABS on 1 and I was 5 seconds off gold. Attempted it the other night with ABS off and everything else off and got gold by 5 seconds. All with a controller!

Most tricky part of this event is to learn the tracks. When you know the track then it should be pretty easy. When its possible to beat gold time with many seconds, even without SRF or any aids, then its not a hard challenge.

The thing that bugs me is when you drop revs at a tight bend it takes forever for the revs to pick up again. It`s like it stalls for about 3 seconds. Over a course ends up costing me about 10 secs.:indiff:

Changing the torque setting to 50/50 was the biggest help for me. It gives you more traction, without having to use the skid recovery force to gain magic traction that isn't really there.

I golded the first and the last races easy the 2nd race I kept tapping walls/failing but finally did it once I got around the track.

tip: enter the corner with much less speed than you think is needed/reqiered, then nice and easy in the turn, exit with full throttle=GOLD for ya 👍
