So before the game was released there was a lot of 'well i'm only going to drive premium cars because...' going round. Just wonderd if there is anyone who has actually stuck to there guns and stayed away from the used car dealership?

Me. With the exception of the Veyron and my MINOLTA Race Car. :)

I've used a couple standards that I've won for different races that need one.. but I only bought one used car and that was my very first

i have to confess, im glued like super glued to the used car lot...lol preimum are nice but MOST of my fav cars are in used car lot.

Evo VI T.M.E version dark blue metallic
Evo VIII MR GSR white or silver
Spoon cars, all of them
Mugen cars
Nismo cars
Rufs
Focus RS

list goes on and on...

I only have Honda EK9 preimum RM'd, R32 skyline bayside blue, and my brand new hodna civic type R 02 in silver

I honestly thought I would be moving towards a "premium only" mindset before the game came out, but I find that both are genuinely a blast to drive despite the lower visual quality (which isn't that bad on most cars anyway).

Also love the used car lot. Will also buy a lower mileage car should it come up. Money is never an issue in this game, so its a case of buy what you see.

Except for the races that require you to drive a standard, I only use my premium cars. My goal is to collect all the premium car first before using the Used Car Dealer.

I never was a premium only and I have driven mostly standards over the last week. They look fine, some better than others but graphics are not on my list of complaints and to me the cockpit view is not that important. It is nice to have but I normally race in bumper or hood view anyway. I would like to have leader boards for both stock and custom tuned cars, prize money and exp in online races, more options in setting up online races, more race mod cars and possibly a few engine swap options especially in some race mod cars. Like it would be nice to be able to put a newer Vette engine in the Z28 RM for example.

loving that avatar. is it real?

I said I would stick to premiums only and I do so. Driving something from anything but cockpit view is a pain in the rear for me, really.
Haven't bought a single standard yet and the ones I've won are used as B-Spec Mules (the Veyron, for example).
One day, I'll have to use a few of them, though, to get a few specific races done - unless there's DLC or content patches.

So far I've only driven premiums. But thats more or less just by chance. I usually drive with the bumper cam so it doesn't really matter to me... I just got the Veyron though, so now I'll try the standards

The premium/standard issue never really mattered to me, so I love using the standard cars as much as the premiums. The only thing that bugs me about the standards is that most of them can only be obtained through the terrible used car dealer.

Unless I've forgotten something I haven't done any races in standard cars yet (though my b-spec drivers have on a few occasions), and the only ones I have in my garage are the award cars that can't be sold but only removed.

As much as I've tried several times, I just can't get used to driving without cockpit view. Too many years with PC racing sims where that was standard already a decade or more ago.

premium cars only ,cockpit veiw is the only way to make it as sim as possible but in the end you have to use some standard cars or you wouldnt be able to complete the game.
I find this a joke ,as said above cockpit veiw has been the norm on pc for 10 years and forza 3 on the xbox had 300+ cars all with cockpit veiw, not as detailed obviously but still good.
Apart from that it is THE ONE.

I like driving with the cockpit view, so I've so far been a premium car only guy. Nothing against the standard cars personally. I still collect the interesting ones and use them for my b-spec Bobs to drive. But given the option in an event I'm driving, I will try and find an applicable premium ride for it.

I always planned to use all cars, and I still am. The standard cars aren't as loveable as their premium counter-parts, but if you just stick to premium you really are missing out, there are some great standard cars knocking about, particularly when it comes to race cars.

I mainly only drive premiums because I prefer the cockpit veiw, but I have used the standards in races that I either had to, or, if I had a car that qualified for the event. I didn't want to fgo spend money on a premium car that I would only drive for one event.

I have however fell in love with my tuned Countach. And I bought some standards just because they are cars that I really like. The 71 Cuda, the 70 CHarger, the Supra RZ (which was my Bspec driver's favorite car).

I 'm at teh point now that I 'm looking for the FGT in the used car dealership.

Never thought it would happen but I am attracted to the preimium cars, but some standards are just too good to miss

i never said anything about sticking to premium, and so far i only have the prize cars as premium. I only bought my real life car, the type R civic '08

I only wanted to use Premium cars, but to do some events, such as the pick-up one, you need a standard car. Now I am actually glad there are standard cars in the game, they are pretty much the same as the Prems just without a cockpit view and you don't notice any low res textures in motion.

Can't stop buying premium cars.....been getting into a habit of buying a car I like and tune it whenever I got some chunk of change, regardless whether I need them or not...

haven't bought a "true" exotic though....need more money for those...

Same for me except I hope to forever avoid the used car dealership and spending my 'hard-earned' (re: the grind :) ) credits on cars with no cockpits, thanks

I have only used standard cars when needed and never use them for practice or online racing, this may be broken because when I find a ruf yellowbird I may cave

I use them all...without a doubt. I love to spend hours travelling to the used car lot and reading about the cars... just great source of automotive history.

And im addicted in collecting museum cards.
