Who thinks GT5's AI cheat's

If your getting spun out by the AI it's cause your not driving the track properly in most cases. The other drivers in the game behave like real drivers in a race would. They have the minimal expectation that everybody at the track in the race knows how to go in and out of corners or they should be back in the license section learning.

If they are constantly hitting you in the rear or spinning you out it's usually because your driving too slow... The AI have a tendency to play it safe and brake early for corner, if they are still hitting you you could be braking waaaaaay too early, or just driving a car that's not up to the competition.

Its happened to me both on the straights and in the turns. I'm usually OK if they run directly into the back of my car, but if their front fender hits my rear fender even slightly, its over. I wish I had a video of the time I was in the lead and the #2 guy spun me out like that, causing EVERY other car behind me to hit me at high speed. I must have spun around completely 10 times, and they all kept going as if nothing had happened. I don't think the race order even changed (except for me going from 1 to 12).

Uhm, this thread was made almost 3 months ago and is referring to one of the early versions of the game. Then again, the AI has been nerfed during the most recent patch - the AI is, in fact, making way for players right now...so it does everything but cheat.

I've yet to see this happen,and i play a fair amount.
 
I'd say it cheats. I was just starting the last lap of 5 and had an 8s lead only to suddenly be pulled back to 2nd by a rampant vx220. What was the AI doing for the previous 4 laps?
 
Is anyone being spun at Daytona by the #18 and #99 cars? If so, that would be normal. I would say that PD have captured the drivers personality perfectly.
 
You guys do realize the fastest car starts behind you so he has to pass everyone else too. Just beacuse you don't blow the other racers away doesn't mean they cheat. When u get farther in game the racers get harder to beat.

Probably plwoing through the field? Watch the replay.

I've watched many replays of my races and noticed the AI behaves similar to B-Spec. They can churn out fast laps but turn the pace down about midway through. Then for the last 2 laps they up the pace again. For example yesterday on coastal ring. The first 2 laps the AI did 3:14 a lap, lap 3-4 they ran about 3:17 and the final two laps they where suddenly in the 3:10.

not only that, but if you get in a certain position just infront of them, they turn into you and make you spin :(

Indeed, especially in the Nascar races they're really out to get you. Didn't particularly help me get more appreciation for the whole Nascar experience.

I hope they're wise enough to leave it out of GT6.
