i hear you there man. this is an ongoing problem here at gtp, check the anime thread. iks na on the anoCa, and etGA more eerBa!! :dunce:

remember when wipeout came out?, and when you played it you could put in your own audio cd after loading the level. Now that was great to behold. id like to see that method come back someday. maybe mp3s too!

No slow, dopey rock. And definately no rap, or any of that R&B crap like Ja Rule. *shudders at the thought*

I'd like to see (or in this case, hear) some upbeat punk rock. Maybe a bit of techno hear and there. Something that gets the adrenaline pumping. Sitting in an Endurance race and listening to GT3's so called rock was nearly enough to put me in a mental institute.

But seeming that not everyone has the same taste in music, maybe Sony should use the internet to it's advantage. Maybe users could be able to connect their PS2 to the computer, get on the internet and download some songs to create their own playlist. I just think of it now, listening to some Disturbed while kicking some automotive arse.

u ppl know NOTHING about rap, when i mentioned i wanted rap, i was talkin bout the stuff prior to 1997...i agree, the stuff singers are coming up with right now is nothin more than watered down horse ****...well, there's a few good ones...

BTW does anyone know if it's possible to get the Manic's re-mix of Everything Must Go which was in the original GT. I love that song anyway, but It'd be better I have that remix.Thanks.

Well it's a remix of Everything must go so it shouldn't be hard to find on the net. I have had it for a while, allong with an audio rip from the actual game (I love the bit where it builds up to a climax and then VROOOM! :D ).

I think the remix is done by the Chemical brothers and it's on the album called Chemical Beats.

I'm listening to it now, this song is great!

Yea some Kriss Kross would be sweet. Specially that hit song "I missed the bus", that stuff ownz. I really hope I could listen to that when I race. Even some MC Hammer would kick ass. Like I would pass some car, and it goes "cant touch this!" :p

Dude, no rap is worth putting in a racing game.

I know what you mean - the hair still goes up on the back of my neck at that, as the Castrol Supra comes into focus in the GT1 intro.

any1 got a link to where i can download the gt1 intro, or all the gt intros for that matter, my gt disc is quite old now and the inro dont run, itd be fun watchin it again, especially the part were them stiff legs walk as the garage door lifts up, that used to crack me up, but i reckon it was the best intro out of all of them, how the gt logo crashes as the cars rev up and wheelspin off the line, that was gr8 the first time i saw it, it still gets me hyper now.

Where is the rap choice? Why isn't there a rap choice included in this? Come on, Rap is the only Genre that regulalry mentiones cars/racing, and Rap is the only music that will get you through 100 laps at Super speedway, not "beep boop beep boop" techno, and not "I hate my life, i cut my arms, for attention" rock either.

  AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA   !
i like your sense of humor. beep boop beep boop, whoo, i think theres a tear in my eye......no. The good stuff isnt "beep boop", or "i hate my life, blah, blah, but then again the state of mainstream music really blows since 2000/2001. Yea i said it and yall know its true. IMO there is no good band since 2001, trapt-pass, earshot-tool wannabe, trust co.-crap co.

I'd like to see, erm, uh, hear rather, more rock, more heavy techno-mixes, and definitely alot less R&B in the Gran Turismo games. The only song I can stand of R&B that I won't mind in GT4 would be Snoop Dog's Gran TUrismo song. That song, although I've never paid any attention to it while racing, is actually slightly funny...

Yes, me too. That intro really sounds great when you crank up the stereo. I have the optical cable hooked up to my receiver from my PS2, and the bass in that intro makes my heart skip a beat.
This song was a lot better then the remix of the Lenny Kravitz song PD used for GT3.

The intro song in GT2 was OK too, but it just didn't rock enough.

So, what song should be used for the GT4 intro? Just look at my sig. ;)

gt3 had music, man i forgot. i haven't listened to any of the in game music for well over a year or so. they really need to change it up and if they do put some in they need to put in way more than they did before. it sucks to listen to some good tunes just to have them be annyoying after about a month.

My wife doesn't let me have the music on GT3 anymore, says it drives her nuts :)
But the sound of a car redlining around the speedway is soooo boring.

***Adds another annoying song to sing in class to his list***

I personally would rather chew off my own shell than listen to any techno

Hmm...reminds me of Strongbad's Techno. Ha. Haha. That's funny.

As long as there isn't any rap of any kind, I'll be happy. Snoop Dog's Gran Turismo Style Song was so incredibly annoying that I had to turn it off. Rap and racing do not mix in my opinon.

I think for GT4 that I won't listen to any music and concentrate on racing more. It drowns out the engine and braking too much.

AMEN.

eats Rap.

I think some more techno/trance should be included I only listen to the music on the long races with Test Course or Endurance Races.

i have an idea, why not instead of putting al the music for all the tracks, u put cirtean tracks for cirtain Curicuts(sp). like for the tracks i japan, u put Japanese music, and for the american tracks put american music, and for any other not-sure traks put any songs at your disposal?

If it was up to me they could just forget about the music and use the valuable disc space...
Like with the previous GT games I've played, I'll just turn it off anyway!

I just wish that the PS2 had a HD system like the Xbox does then you could listen to whatever music your heart desires ripped straight from your CD Collection to the HD. I personally liked the music in GT3 but I reckon they should add more techno, trance, drum'n'bass etc..
