Hello everyone , the standard classes for me are more fun and dificult to drive
is fun because we see in this class all kind of racers ; some gtp_ tags are in standad sometimes ,alot of quick racers and a not so quick racers that are drifting around or driving in oposite direccion and a lot of very good races are there every day:the dificult is because the punters there are some guys a have been writing in a paper to remember who they are that make you get off the track any time .but you know all of it .I want to know how many of GTP tags choose to race standard ; may be somebody make a race of gtp guys in standard for us , tell me wat do you think
enyoy the races and have fun

I race Beginner online quite often. I find it a better place to practice online than sticking my face in the more "serious" racing.

I like the 700PP Suzuka event and the Fuji supercar race. In both races there are usually 2-3 good drivers dicing for the win.

I actually tried the Suzuka East Supercar race even though I knew what it would be like, and found it to be exactly what I expected.

I also like the 111R race at HSR (did that go away with Spec III?).

I like the handling characteristics of Standard over Pro. I enjoy the security of just knowing the car will stick, which allows for more fun. As opposed to worrying if the rear end will snap around for no apparent reason.

It's unfortunate that some people drive like idiots and drifters are going the wrong direction, putting a real strain on that rubber band.

Did some racing in the Lancer vs Evo race today. Good racing overall. Didn't seem to be any punters, or at least not near me.

I prefer Pro mode. It weeds out the bad drivers from the good very quickly. I normally go from dead last to the top 3 within the first lap. Sitting back and watching everyone dive into the first corner is always hilarious.

I fail to see how this remotely applies to this thread.

Yes we're well aware that all you hard-core guys only drive pro. No reason to keep pointing it out every time somebody mentions standard physics.

Sorry man, for me only Pro-specs, and these only for the feeling of the car, in standard specs it's not a simulator anymore for me, as for racing i don't have too much problems, mostly i'm at Fuji with the GTR and got here some serious races too

I would love to see some of the lower powered class races with PRO specs, though. It's silly that the faster races are mostly pro and the slower races mostly standard.

Only Pro mode for me and that's becouse i drive with the G25 wheel, standard races are mostly for pad users.

you have to walk before you can run.

i prefer pro but like standard because it evens the field a bit. its easier to correct if you went into a corner by your own mistake or if you had help. after witnessing all the carnage in pro races i might just head back to the standard races to see what they are like again.

I prefer the Intermediate races like suzuka 700 and Fuji 800 with standard physics.

I don't mind the fact that the fast races are mostly pro, but there is a lot of fun to be had with pro physics in smaller cars. I dislike the fact that I can't drive those cars online with pro physics.

Well.... I can drive them, but I don't think I could ever beat a field of ferrari's in a BMW 135i :)

I know I'm not the best driver in high powered cars (not the worst either, but still) so I would like to start a bit easier, but woth pro physics.

ok, i know what you mean. i agree, i would love to see some races with "stock" cars. lower PP so you can't run a tuned version or super car in it. that would be great.

I mostly just run Daytona. On that track I like tuned cars. Not 'cause tey are faster ( I like running the lower powered cars) but because you can make them handle, so there is cleaner racing.

I am happy to see some people who likes to have fun racing (low pp cars in standard ) lets
do it lets race all kind of pp cars and have fun

For me, i find the 'standard' simulation setting fun - Go kart like handling with hardly any understeer for most cars, so it is a nice change.

But Simulation is what its all about, you get a really good feel for your 'quick tune' settings and what tyres you have e.t.c As a petrol head, thats the best way :D

i want to see a MINI Cooper-S Pro race on London ... that would be fantastic. Good drivers making the most out of the little supercharged Cooper-S engine :)

i prefer PRo especially Suzuka and Fuji suitable for me...Standart physics so simple.I doesnt feel drive in reality

I agree. I really like Daytona and PD did a superior job reproducing this track, compared to the "official NASCAR game". I've been hoping for a 20 lap Daytona STD since Feb. ;)

With the adjusted penalty system, wall riders have no choice but to learn how ot race. It still sucks getting a penalty when someone hits you :(

i like to drive both, i had a very great time giong into the Ferrari challenge with a 512bb not a chance in winning but a good race it was^^, like mentioned a cooper s race would be great tooalso the tuned swift etc. i love to have those races in pro mode on the smaller circuits.

Does anyone know why they can't give us a whole rake of PP/course permutations to play with? Is it down to server issues, or are they just trying to stretch out the longevity of the game?

Maybe you could set up a time for an online standard event and when we want to run the race we have a chance to meet up with other GTP racers.

I don't know what events are available lately (have not looked at the online race events in quite a while) and set a time for something like :03/ :18/ :33/ :48 past the hour. It has worked in the past.

It does seem by the responses that not many people like the standard physics, but I do. It is real similar to GT4.

If you post the times in the GT5p online race event thread I think more people would join in just to race clean racers, physics aside.

I would join in and I'm sure it would be fun.

I'm gunna say because there simply aren't enough players to fill servers. If there were heaps of options then everyone would opt for a different server and races would be very small.
