Who wants bikes in gt4

I dont think they should have bikes becase the could never make it real enough, like going around laguna seca at 80 miles an hour with a car riding your a** and you step on the brakes, he slams into you and in real life you would go flying but they wouldent be able to simulate that in a game. And even if it was bike only races as soon as you hit dirt or grass at more than 50 miles an hour you would still go flying end over end.

One of the worst ideas I've heard. The game is called Gran Turismo for a reason. Now if Kaz did a seperate game featuring motorcycles, then that would be awesome.

I hope they dont put bikes in the game, it would take away what Gran Turismo is, bikes should not be in GT. There are other games for that anyway.

Well I dunno yes it is Gran Turismo but I dunnoI wouldnt mind having bikes in GT, and they did say "Another Section" soooo you proably wont have any cars riding your ass since you'll only be able to race other bikes, then that would make sense but on the other hand there focusing on he evolution of the automible and racing so i'd think thats only cars, Theres always a good and a bad to everything and remember he isnt making a game just for you, hes making a game for everyone, so even thought you wouldnt like bikes in GT doesnt mean other people dont and doesnt mean he shouldnt put them in at all..

I love the idea of bikes in the game (maybe in a somewhat limited fashion, like as prizes or something). I also agree that a better idea would be to have Polyphony make a seperate bike game. Considering their talent, I can't imagine how awesome that game could be!

As cool as bikes are, they really don't have a place in GT4. Besides, I would much rather see the game released ASAP than see bikes in it.

I'd like to have them, IF it didn't delay the game, and IF they were modelled and could be controlled in a way as realistic as the cars. Using a steering wheel, I think that will be hard to achieve.

drools.........................................................................

Hey, that guy in the above pic was on a ten speed. Maybe that will be in the game too!

I kid. Motorcycles in GT4 sounds less likely to motorcycles in GT5. Did that make any sense? Remember, this was a chance to archive stuff for GT5 too.

of course there wont be no bikes on GT. they dont have a place at all in this game.

TOYOTA FR3AK i think it was a typo b/c i mean the T and R, are pretty close together dont YOU think?

Won't say nothing because this is a hard-core speculating, but when I asked Kaz about possibility of including Dodge Tomahawk into the game he just smiled and said that everything is possible.

But then again, that answer he gave for like 5 or 10 questions.

I wouldn't mind them in the game but olny if they are like 5 or 6 and you have to do some extereme stuff to get them, and still you can olny race them with other bikes.

I seriously doubt PD would waste valuable time working out how a bike should handle (in keeping with the realism theme of GT)

But if they did do it properly, I think this would be a nice "bonus" addition to the GT series.

nobody really expected that funny "POD" race in GT Concept, but it was there and some ppl liked it or hated it.

Ok, but the PODs are still cars, which is ok since the game is about cars, but it's not about motorcycles. Like I said, I think it's research for a possible Motorcycle game.

The aarticle said all they did was a few laps, they wern't tested, and as for MT saying Sony has hinted at a bonus bikes section, that I havn't seen or heard before, anywhere and MT isn't always the most reliable source, still if they are in and used only as a bonus then it won't bother me, I don't want to see bikes racing car or bike championships mixed in with car championships that would throw the meaning of Gran Turismo right out the window.

well let see... will throw in some trucks and some bikes, hell let's throw in thoughs stupid ass Big rigs they race in Australia! :odd: :irked: :banghead:

What big rigs are talking about?

He means truck racing; you know semis.

I vote no to bikes.

Dont get me wrong, I love bikes and am really close to owning one. But I dont think that we should mix cars and bikes in GT4. I think that the GT4 crew should make a game dedicated to bikes that would use all the same graphics and game engine and even some of the same tracks. But not on the same game.

I think PD should keep up there hard work add whatever they want to the game. Haters will have to deal with it and despite how much they say their losing interest because of something in the game they dont like, they will buy it anyway because how did they end up on a Gran Turismo forum? Forget the name of the game and stay focused on its purpose "real driving simulator" If they include those 3 wheel bike powered cars that would be nice too. Semi's? Sure they race too. Anything you can drive, even power boats :D. Most haters have excepted F1 cars and Rally mode.

my $0.02

Yeah but lets just remember what Gran Turismo actually means, doesn't it refer to racing and driving cars. Basically I don't care what they choose to put in the game because I know PD will do a wonderful job.

Somebody goes to a PD testing day - sees some bikes = bikes must be in GT4!

Uuuhhgg!

Sony refute Gran Turismo 4 motorbike rumours

09/10/2003: 16:11
GT4 goes all Moto GP on us, reckons the internet. Rubbish, says Sony Europe

Sony have flatly denied that there is any substance to current rumours that Gran Turismo 4 will feature a hidden superbike mode.

When quizzed, Sony's European vice president of software marketing, Simon Rutter, said, "There are categorically no motorbikes in GT4." And you can't get any more unambiguous than that.

The speculation apparently began following a recent GT4 press event in Japan at which developers Polyphony Digital put a number of superbikes through their paces.

But, sadly, it seems as if two-wheeled road racers definitely won't be playing a part in the hotly-awaited PS2 speed-fest...
