Who with CD-RW Drives are waiting for either of HD DVD-RW or Blu-Ray RW Drivers to come out. Before they move away from CD-RW for a new way of coping files on to a bigger disc format like HD DVD or Blu-Ray.

I know i will be waiting for either of these to come out as a RW Drive, before i move away from CD-RW. At least I can use a router for the mean time, to send my dad my files, so he can put them on DVD-RW folks.

I'm not overly worried about these next-gen mediums anyway. I rarely burn anything, so DVD+/-R is good enough for my backup purposes. All my large collections (like music and CD images) that I'd need Blu-Ray/HD-DVD for, I just keep on a seperate harddrive, which is much easier and more conveniant.

I've got a DVD-RW and a CD-RW and (for the moment at least) this is sufficient. As Shannon said, I just stick large files on my other hard drives, so I don't really need Blu-Ray or HD-DVD. When it first comes out the hardware and media will be prohibitively expensive anyway...

It'll be rediculously pricey, but a few blu-ray disks will definately help me gain a PROPER backup of my 100+gig audio collection. I might pick up a burner a year or so after they hit the market

Also Blu-Ray RW drives and HD DVD-RW Drives, can read Dual Layer DVD-RW of course. And default DVD-RW's.

I think im going to hold on till the new format writers come out.... I already missed the DVD-RW bandwagon and I still only have a CD-RW, I make do for now buy getting my mates to burn the stuff for me on there newer rewriters... probably gonna wait for Blu Ray...
