ABC has coverage of Monaco GP, now I can watch F1 races, but with crappy announcing.

Yeah, tell me about it. [Speaking of the puffing smoke problem David Coulthard had in the middle of the race] They were like: "Its unfortunate and it will be a great dissapointment that he will not win the race because of this problem. One can only wonder how long it will be until that problem takes its toll and he will be forced to retire." He ended up winning the race. Go figure.

:D We had good coverage here in Canada. Martin Brundell and David Hobbs. Good insight and they kept the peviously mentioned foolish comments to themselves. To bad about Montoya though, I think he's got Schumakers number.

I guess for you guys it must be exciting to get to see F1, but over here in the UK we've always had live coverage on free-to-view TV for as long as I can remember. I suppose we are in the same position with NASCAR and CART. Both great championships which we only get to see now and again. Glad you're getting F1 now, its just a shame the racing isn't that great at the moment.

Why do people here keep mentioning free-to-view tv? Do you think F1 is on pay-per-view here? Cable is not considered pay-per-view.

Yes, but it is not considered pay-per-view here. We are not provided tv like I think they may do in Britain.

Cable is a business, some boxing and wrestling are considered special events, so there is a charge for them, F1 does not have that status here. F1 is on Speed Channel and ABC. ABC is broadcast while Speed is cable/satellite. Speed Channel may not be available in all areas, but it is not a commercial free premium channel like HBO.

So, no, F1 is not pay-per-view as far as our system considers it.

We don't need cable to watch the F1 it's shown on one of our 5!!! free channels

And yes we have to pay for boxing etc.. on special events too money grabbing 🤬

Do you get live coverage of the F1 ?

yes. we get an hour of the second friday practice session, sometimes live, an hour of qualifying, with a wrap up time, sometimes upto 30 minutes and the race plus a 30 minute prerace and upto 30 min. post race. but if abc is showing it, than all but the race and prerace are live

 Course we have to buy our own tellys, plug in the aerial tune it in and away you, go.. 5 free channels aint we lucky !
