With a little EFFORT PD can try to cater to most peoples likes, with a variety of small DLC packs. For example, Le Man car pack with 4-6 cars, a hatchback pack, supercar pack, rally car pack, ect.... If you blindly buy whatever they put out, how are they ever going to improve??? Lackluster products is better than nothing at all? We should send them the message that we love to support PD but we don't just throw are money away either.
If you don't try and cater to a wider audience then PD deserves to fail.

IT'S ONLY $4.00! Cmon I've had Drinks that cost more than that.

I'm not going to show loyalty to PD or any other company. If they offer something that I like, then I will get it. It's that simple.

In this case, I will not be buying the DLC this time. I much prefer the TCs from last time over this.

I can understand your comment. You are making the argument that we should buy this DLC to show PD that we want more DLC and therefore they will make more. However, I can clearly understand those with a different viewpoint. This current DLC is very underwhelming. Basically only 2 new cars, 1 car with only cosmetic upgrades, and 1 car with some performance upgrades that likely could be easily accomplished in the tuning shop. One could easily make a case for not buying this DLC to show PD that the community won't support mediocre DLC. If the last DLC sold 1 million copies and this one only sells 500,000 then it would send the message that they need to put more into the DLC packs.

Personally I'm really not sure which way I'm leaning right now. I'm quite apathetic to this current DLC, but 4 dollars is really nothing to me, so I'm torn.

Yup. People need to speak with their wallets. Otherwise the mundane additions will continue.

As I said above if you don't like what they're releasing then don't complain because they can't cater to everyone's likes. Besides, if people don't buy these DLC's then they might not bother at all.

I'm not forcing people buy it, I'm just saying if your a true fan and want to see PD grow, then we should support them.👍

First, the 'if you are a true fan' talk is nonsense. Decide for yourself if the value is worth the cost. And people have every right to complain on a forum, some people could complain less, sure, but they need to voice their opinion. If people keep quiet how would PD know what changes to make or what could be done better? Constructive criticism only helps to better the product.

And I hate when someone assumes to know how spending $4 or any amount affects someone elses finances. Great, you can throw $4 around like it's nothing, but not everyone can.

We need more tracks. The Volkswagen's are OK but come on let's see some fresh scenery.

Why support a mediocre effort. One of my biggest pet peeves. Give us what we want then we will offer up our cash.

I love this game and want it to get even better and for me that means some new real tracks.

Road America gets my vote.:)

As a huge GT fan, I won't stop supporting them by buying every single one of their contents... but.. I just wish PD would LISTEN to their fans and give us what WE want instead of what THEY want.... I'm not very pleased with this DLC at all to be completely honest here. I want more exotic/race cars! Give me Koenigsegg, more Paganis, more Lambos, more Ferraris, just more race/exotic cars! PLEASE PD!

Why should they do it? You're gonna buy any DLC anyway, so why bother? :)

GTP_Gearhead will buy any and all DLC they put forth. I own a business and understand the frustration with balancing time constraints and production. We all want to do the absolute best we can, but are often faced with the inevitable push from he who holds the most chips. There are many complainers around here, but I for one will continue to be thankful and supportive of PD for all their hard work.

I did buy the recent DLC and will buy any new DLC they offer in the future. But the satisfaction of the content is another story.

Doesn't matter if your satisfied.
PD will be satisfied with your purchase, that's all that matters right?

Tracks only for me, I bought PSN points ready for more tracks, and all we get is more cars.. i have over 1000 do i really need more? answer.... No!

Reading people's comments in the news section on GTPlanet I've seen a huge negative response to what this DLC contains, personally I can't wait to get my hands on those cars, I think people underestimate those two Volkswagen R's, they are 4WD, 188KW/255HP! Once tuned they will be awesome! and yes, I know it's another Nissan GT-R, but this one is 3.0sec to 100kmh! It will most certainly be a new top car for the people who like to drag.

So please support PD, buy the DLC! and please if you don't like GT5 anymore or never have stop bothering the real fans, cause it almost feels embassassing for us to see you bagging it so much on a dedicated GRAN TURISMO FORUM! The place for the fans, not haters.

This is what gets me, I mean I plan to get DLC, people can have an opinion on a Gran Turismo Forum. Some of us fans aren't blindly loyal to PD but that doesn't mean we aren't fans. It's called having an open mind. No one is bothering the supposed "real fans" and maybe it might be a respectful change of pace to see why they're dissapointed with GT instead of just automatically thinking that PD could never produce anything bad.

I support PD cause I like their games, but as far as you making this thread to obviously rant about those who are dissapointed with PD and GT5...that's a nice waste of space and baiting for an argument.

Apparently, thats just what PD, and Sony are counting on.
For many of us it isn't the cost, but the far higher principle involved.

Yup. People need to speak with their wallets. Otherwise the mundane additions will continue.

Mundane additions, not to mention another half a***d incomplete GT6, just like GT5.

We"ll take their $60 and then patch and DLC the full game to them.
A P.T. Barnum business model dream of a lifetime.

No I haven't bought any DLC for this game, neither will I ever.

Too much ill will now between myself and PD after this whole GT5 debacle.

Not only that, but they will have to win me back as a customer for GT6, or I won't be buying that either.

Unfortunately, the OP doesn't have a clue, that there are GT fans, and then there are GT5 fans.
There are just as many GT fans who are still disappointed and turned off, as there are those pleased with the game.

Ok, just tell me why you spend your time on this forum if your disappointed with the game?? Why am I the only one that understands how big a project GT5 was, and that all the problems people have with are completely explainable.

I will buy it. I love the new Scirocco R and the Golf R, I've wished for something along those cars for so long, new MX'5 or Skylines (or those stupid Nascars, could not care less of those worthless...) doesn't interest me at all, not until they release older versions of Japanese classics, THOSE are some Japanese cars I'd love to see.

Sure, you can always wish for more, but as long as they support the game I am happy. In the future I will keep my fingers crossed for more "unique" cars and more tracks!

I'll buy every one that comes out because this is my favorite game.

I just wish PD would stop being so boarderline. Why even allow for a debate to happen. Please bring us an outstanding DLC that has at least something for everyone. Maybe there would be less complaining. The first DLC was pretty good. How about a DLC where we all say, "I can't beleave I got all of that for ten bucks."

If you think the cars available in DLC II are giving you value for money, then by all means purchase the DLC.

If you are indifferent or disappointed by the latest selection, then give it a miss.

Don't buy it just to support PD/Sony. If they think they can get away with mediocre content, then they'll continue to supply mediocre content instead of pushing for something worthwhile.

although new dlc pack is pathetic (I wasn't impressed with 1st one either), still going to buy it.
About pricing - 1$ for 1 car? I don't remember buying GT5 for >1000$.

It's hard to believe how many people fret over $4. $4!!

Of course I'll be buying it and making this very small addition to a great game. 👍👍

I wont be buying this time. Nothing to do with the cost though, the new DLC just has nothing I want. I would however pay for more tracks in a heartbeat.

Decided to buy, but not to support PD out of principle.

The 2 Volkswagens interest me, mainly the Scirocco for photo mode.
The other 2 meh.

Toyota 86 for free 👍

Anyone who purchased the first batch of DLC will receive a free “Gran Turismo Racing Kart 125 SP” along with five free “New Car Refresh” cards.
=> I would actually like to know what I get for free in DLC3, if I buy DLC2? Are they not over complicating this loyalty scheme?

As I earn money by working, not falling to me from the sky, I'm gonna buy only DLC that brings something useful for me. I'm not gonna give my money away for nothing. I bought the first one because of Spa, I'm not gonna buy this one, 'cause it brings generally just 4 cars I wouldn't be driving anyway.

And as you apelled to people "buy it to support PD," I appel to people "don't buy, don't support PD in making lousy good-for-nuffing DLC, support them for making good, quality DLCs bringing useful new stuff."

But in the end - it's your money, do with it whatever you see fit.

I agree 100%. I would not buy it just to support PD I would buy it because I liked it, or just had to have it. If everyone bought everything they put out, weather or not it is any good just to support them, there would be no motivation for them to do better. If they put out something that is bad and everyone didn't buy it they would say to themselfs hey we failed at that one we need to do a better job if we expect to sell DLC content to these gamers. If you went to a Auto Dealership and the salesman showed you several cars and you didn't like any of them would you just buy it anyways just to support the Auto Dealership. In other words buy if you like, don't buy if you don't just to support PD.

If new cars cost 4$ then yes I'd buy every one of them:tup:👍 Or in relative terms if a new Ferrari to me was like $4 to everyone else in terms of my wealth, then yes I'd buy all of them too, regardless of whether they are good or bad.

There comes time when the price point is so low it's irrelevant. You walk into a Dollar Store and see a stainless steel soup ladle on the rack and you want one, most people that have a job wouldn't be saying to themselves, "gee I wonder if I can afford that or if it's good value". It's a buck. Likewise $4 is a no brainer. I like the game, it's an addition to the game so I get it. If I didnt like the game or didn't play it regularly it would be different but for anyone that plays the game on a regular basis I don't see how you can even debate it. It's $4. Even if I get it and I don't like the cars so what? If you can even find something for $4 anywhere anymore that isn't food, it's not worth my time and effort to return it to a store I bought it at. I saw a bin in a variety store yesterday that had two chocolate bars in it for almost the same price!!

I won't be buying unless there is tracks in DLC. I just don't find any interesting cars in the DLC so far. I hope to see the standards that have premium versions all made premium at some point, but I don't know if that will come anytime soon, because it would be hard for them to get away with charging for cars that are already in the game.
