Who's racing on wheel in cockpit view?

I once met a very attractive girl. We had a good conversation and a good time. The evening came when I invited her to my house. When she saw the PlayStation with a plastic steering wheel attached to it, she laughed at me and left.
I just met one and when she saw my rig, she sat down and played for 2 hours straight. I figured I would have to train her, but she was a natural.

I'm using cockpit cam, cause it gives me the most realistic experience. I'm still on controller, but I'm thinking about getting a wheel. Unfortunately GT doesn't have a dash cam, like Forza or AC, where you see the cockpit without the wheel. So I was wondering if it's worth it to get a wheel, if you're using cockpi view. I mean, is it distracting to see the second wheel behind your real wheel, or can you mount it in an angle, so that it covers the wheel behind it? Or does it kinda blend in, so that you don't notice it while driving?
The bumper cam isn't really an alternative as it's too low and the bonnet cam is actually a roof cam and is too high. And the chase cam might give you an advantage, but isn't as immersive.
I only Race in Cockpit View.....If I am gonna "PRETEND" to drive a Car then I am gonna "PRETEND" to sit in the Driver's seat Period!

Is it the Best View probably not and we definitely should have more ability to adjust it (just look at ACC) they have a wonderful Cockpit Adjustment Menu! Anyways IMHO I believe that the Sport Mode Races should all be done in Cockpit View!

In fact, 99% of sims/simcade racing games offer a good, configurable cockpit view.
(rf2, LMU, AC, ACC, AC EVO, Raceroom, automibilista 2, RBR, EA WRC, DIRT 1.0/2.0)
Evern forza motorsport. ( we can remove the wheel)

GT7 offers top-quality cockpits, yet is extremely limited in camera customization.

I race mostly in cockpit since I have the most fun this way. I love the cockpit of the GTbyCitroën GT3 car. Feels like being in a jetfighter. Also the classic old Alfa Romeo is such a lovely drive and even better when in cockpit.

My wife is mostly the one who has paid for my habit... She got me the DD Pro a few years back for my birthday...

I'm lucky, I know.

Also only cockpit view because PSVR2 is in my opinion the only way to play this game.

Bumper cam all the way. As others have said, it's not low. It's the same as eye level. You're just not used to not having part of the car in view. I would highly suggest getting used to bumper cam. Ideally, you'd just get PSVR2 (I just sold mine recently, but not for lack of enjoyment...). VR is the way to go. Baring that, bumper cam is the best option in my honest opinion.

Don't you get nautious if you're racing in VR for hours?
I am someone who is prone to motion sickness. I used to get car sick all the time growing up in Ireland, and the last time I was on a small boat I spent most of the time introducing my lunch to the ocean. So, when I purchased my PSVR2 I was quite nervous. I put the headset on, fired up GT7, and never had an issue. I could feel my stomach drop a bit with extreme elevation changes (big dips on the Nordschleife, or the Corckscrew on Laguna Seca for instance), but even that went away after a couple days. Trust me, you'll be fine. If you can swing it, get PSVR2.

I completely agree and as someone who plays Forza Motorsport as well you are absolutely right. I have been saying every since Forza has started to turn Motorsports around (for the Good) that if we had a Console Racing Game the had a Blend of GT7 (wheel physics and Graphics) & Forza (Car Selection and the Overall amount of Online Races as well as the Many Different Classes) that you would have one Amazing Racing Game on Console. I do think this Year though is going to be great with Rennsport & Project Motor Racing as well as others coming to console.

Ever since Gran Turismo 5 Prologue came out in 2008, I've been using cockpit view and stuck with that setup in other racing games that came after it.

It feels natural for me. Add to the fact that I'm also driving in real life, which can help me in high traffic or stress situations.

Last year, I got a Logitech G29 and the experience has gotten much better.
