Why are people cheating on the nascar time attack

I love drive the stock cars round road tracks because they are challenging and they have a suprising amount of grip so I was over the moon when I found out that ther was a challenge for them so I could see if im any good compared to other people but the I found that people were lapping it in under 17 sec WHATS THE POINT and PD should fix this and ban people who do this from playing online

They want to be the best and yes, it is dumb but it is what it is.

I don't know how PD could distinguish between the fake and real lap times if they wanted to ban people.

Well 17 seconds is obviously fake. So they could start there.

There was a 9 second gap somewhere that I saw on the leaderboards. It would probably be there.
