Why are people not voting for a better penalty system

I find it hard to believe that with the new feedback voting forum there are hardly any people voting for a better penalty system in this game, you only have to look at whats going on in the GT Academy to realize this is a big issue with the game, all players who take part in the seasonal time trial events i would have expected to vote on a better penalty system, some tracks are so bad you can gain seconds by cutting certain sections as seen in the GT Academy on the Indy Road Course, this is a big issue for all time trial enthusiasts and feel sorry for the clean drivers suffering in the GT Academy, it would be nice to see the clean racers vote why they can as i'm sure there are a lot of people out there that feel the same way, this is one of the biggest issues in the game for me and needs to be sorted ASAP. :grumpy:

There are other major flaws i want sorted also like leaderboards, gear ratios and racing restrictions but they are all covered in the feedback forum, i just put this thread up in hope that the clean racers in the community will see it and agree with me and go and vote, i did put a thread up on the feedback forum ( improve penalty system ) but in the last 2 days it has had 3 or 4 votes thats unbelievable
 
Look, I'd vote for it if there weren't issues with G27 and leaderboards :)

When/if those (and other things) are rectified, I'll reallocate some of my votes.
 
The penalty system is a waste of time, we need one to stop cheats and noobs but the current one just dosent work, an example of this is somebody rams me and its me that gets a penalty! Even tho it wasent my fault. It's just as annoying when I get hit and pushed off track and get a short cut penalty! It's so frustrating! PD SORT IT OUT!
 
Agreed with mrkevans. I refuse to use the penalty system because it hurts races more than rammers and shortcutters. I can kick the trouble makers, but it's downright annoying to have your power cut for no reason.

It might be different for the GT Academy, but for online racing the penalty system is useless.
 
I suppose there's no real need when no leaderboards are present.

Pre race qualify in free practise in lobby it does hurt though.

You and your company have spent upwards of 5 years developing a game, spending hundreds of thousands of dollars, then when it finally gets released, you have no break time. Yet instead your working twice as hard to keep up patching things with what income you have to keep the 90% of gt5 players who do not like something about the game happy.

Just give them time please.
 
I agree with you. I'm very surprised at how many gtp users waste votes.

I'm aware that everyone have different priorities, but what about:
- asking free dlcs for things people have payed for (stealth cars....); actually it's the 3rd voted topic.
- improving sounds: how, re-recording 800+ engines another time?

After page 5 it's a duplication of topics..... more than 40 pages and nobody can find (and vote) very interesting features.

Note: every new topic created wastes one vote....
 
Sorry not wasting my votes on what you want, i play single player and run time trials offline. A penalty system won't do me any good.

Maybe its not for you because you don't play online, but for the people who spend a lot of time and effort in the time trials only to see all there hard work undone by cheats i'm sure would agree with me not to mention those at GT Academy who have had to put up with the cheats, glad to see PD responded quickly and changed the track along with a wipe of the scoreboards, hopefully for the clean racers in the competition the issue has been resolved.

Not a smart comment from you really, if they were there to be broken then PD wouldn't have been so quick to fix the corner cutting issues in the GT Academy, think before posting :)
 
If rules are there to be broken this is not the game for you there are other games out there if you want to play dirty ( Need For Speed or Test Drive Unlimited ) ;)

Hundreds of thousands? Try tens of millions. But I agree 100% with your comment.

You sound like another one of those people just out to ruin the game for everyone else, hope this issue does get sorted out as it will teach people like you a lesson, can not believe this subject didn't attract more of the clean competitive racers, whats the point of asking for leaderboards without a proper penalty system this is more important than leaderboards at this time as it will only cause more headache for PD when people start complaining about cheats and asking them to provide us with scoreboard wipe after scoreboard wipe, need to get issues like this sorted first. :grumpy:

At last someone that realizes what one of the main priorities should be for this game, makes a change to be posting to someone that knows what this game needs hopefully more will follow and get on the voting forum, this issue should be near the top if not the top of the voting forum. 👍
