I was wondering why some people act so worried that they have low money. They have obviously gotten an internet connection and 8 minutes a day to get 1 million dollars. So why do people worry about a money shortage?

I wasn't aware that anyone was worried about it. What are you basing this assumption on? Are there people complaining about a shortage of credits?

The only thing I can think of is they are worried that the one car they have been searching for finally shows up in the UCD and they don't have enough credits for it.

As Shem says, what is this concern based on, ive not seen anyone saying there short and with seasonals as they are there is no excuse for being skint.

I'm a bit concerend about it. I refuse to do the car dupeing thing, its a cheat you might as well cut corners and bash people off the track in a race. With not a ton of free time it is a bit hard to come buy money in this game. I have had the game from day 1 and have 14m the highest amount of credits ive had yet. There are some cars id like to have but when there 20-25mil a pop its gonna be a while. Its not a game breaker i still have plenty of cars that i like to drive.

I have some friends I race online with. They rarely have more than a few million credits. But, they only need a handful of cars to race, so they don't run seasonals, put their Bobs online, or do anything other than race online.

But, they don't complain about a lack of credits because they don't need them.

25 mil for a car, jeeze ive missed one somewhere LOL. Sorry but there is no excuse for low funds, not enough time to do a couple of the ferrari events at Le-sarthe per day or everytime you log on is no excuse 1 million in 8 minutes, its a no brainer really.

Do the seasonal events and most can be run over and over again. The least amount for first is around 300,000 and you get suits and helmets. Sounds like they don't want to put the time or work in for them.

This in addition to the 20,000,000 cr in-game credit limit which makes matters even worse.

Because most of the other seasonal don't pay as well. it feels too much like work to keep running Ferrari seasonal to get the money. Including loading time, to play different seasonal races with a car to get the money it take an average of 20min to get 1 million. Longer if u challenge urself with inferior tyres or car. If I wanna buy miura which is 15 million, it would take 5 hours to buy that car. That's 2 weeks worth of driving for some of us. The ford mkiv, xj113, ferrari p4, chap 2j (b4 OCD), chap 2d, , ford gt40 adds up to 125million which is many many weeks of playing juz to buy a few cars. Despite that it is still a lot better than before. Can't imagine how precious they will be if there's no seasonals.

All of the seasonals except the very old ones pay quite well. They might not be as grind-efficient(and boring) as cutting all the chicanes at Le Mans with a highly modded Enzo on superglue tires, but that doesn't mean you can't run them and make money plenty fast.

One thing that would alleviate some of this stress would be if PD removed the 20 million credit cap. Thoughout all the GT series games I've played (GT1 - GT4), never once have I seen a 20 million cap. Heck, even with a Gameshark the max was 99 million if I'm not mistaking. I just think it makes abosutely no sense for someone to be forced to spend credits before entering a race, to prevent losing "x" amount of credits after winning a race.

I only have a few hours a week, and I run 3 accounts. I still find a way to earn a few mil, and stock 3 garages. True, I have cars in one that I can't get in another yet, but the seasonals are an endless bounty of cash. If you want it , you will find a way to get it. I don't see an issue with the cap. It wouldn't be fun to be able to buy out the OCD each update. You have to work for something.

I think Gallade475 is right. I read enough posts of people worrying what car to buy because they want their credits worth. I`m surprised others in this thread are not aware of this (or act surprised).
I too was a little worried about the credits until i discovered the high paying seasonals. When you are grinding Indy over and over you will worry about spending millions. The 20.000.000 cr. cars can give you some consideration, even with the the seasonals. If you only want cars you are going to like and you are not a collector it`s still a chore to get all the extreme high priced cars.
I got those via tickets (and duping them of course).

Back in the days before Ferrari Sarthe - I was only once above 10.000.000cr.
I bought 3 cars then (all 3 were a huge mistake) and I went bankrupt. I bought 3 cars - 2 of which are prize cars (Audi R10, AMG Mercedes CLK-LM and McLaren F1 GTR). Hadn't been over 4mil until Ferrari Sarthe seasonal came out.
The problem was - whenever I save some money an expensive car shows up at UCD and I had to buy it.
Ferrari Sarthe seasonal helped me a lot and now I have bought all cars in GT5 without any trading, b-day glitching or borrow glitching.
I'm now sitting on 20.000.000 for a few weeks and I don't have anything to spend the money on.

And that's just fair enough. That said, thank god for remote racing!

It is a pain indeed.

Try sitting on $140M, there being nothing left to buy, and then you have to waste $40M all at once.

Yea, i'd like to see that cap been removed too. And still, you have to spend a lot of time for all those Cr. but in the end you can buy all the cars you want which is fun i think... :sly:
I did that with GT4 too. Much more fun in my opinion.

So you pick 6 of the 8 most expensive cars in the game and complain that you have to invest some time in getting them?

How about this: You gold the 2 time-trials, the 2 drift trials and the Mercedes-challenge currently available and you have about 5 million credits in about 30 minutes playing time. Then you have enough credits to buy the best possible car for each of the permanently available Seasonals, and when you race each of them only once you get something between 300,000 and 500,000 for each single race with a duration between 3 and 10 minutes. There's about 50 races in that category in the Seasonals. You should be able to cover those in a day. That's about 20,000,000 right there. Without racing any race twice.
