Does anyone think theres a good reason why the F1 cars in the formula GT championship are so slow is it because there going easy on my or am I a good driver???

Don't let Midfield fool you. The AI do improve through out the race. To the point where they run 10 laps at Cote d'Azur before pitting. I only managed 7 laps.

You are not wrong, they can be beaten with relative ease. From my compendium you can see that I lapped them twice at Midfield. And I'm only in the beginner league on the GTP weekly series.

With my F-090 I couldnt win. beat the first 4 races due to 2 laps or so with bright red tires so that I would pit one less time as they. Halfway threw the championship I couldnt win anymore, my 700 or so hp 90 couldnt keep up with the 8's and 900 hp cars. Ive been working on getting one of those to better my chances.

I think the cars in the F1 championship are pretty equal. They're not very hard in the first few races, but they pick it up after a while. I always did think that they somehow ran longer on tires in Monaco than you could. I think the cars are the most equal and toughest ones to beat in the game in this championship, although they do cheat a little.

Yup, as Der Alta said, don't let the early races fool you. Cote d'Azur is a bit of a nightmare to figure out in terms of pitting strategy... I managed to do it (and I'm not very good), but doing that race involved my full attention, careful planning, and a few bug-eyed moments.

What F1 car are you guys using? I use the F094/S and pit every 7 laps. By the time I pit, I'm a good 35+ seconds ahead of the other F094/S. I usually start lapping cars on lap 10, and the other F094/S on lap 19.

I ran this race with the F686/M once, and that was a pain. Especially if you run with no tranction control like I do. Blue Coast + F686/M + No traction control + Stupid AI = Challenge.

I use the poly001 but I need a new one coz the handeling sucks now and its not very fast any more. When I get a new one I will beat them even more than I do now!

I won most by about a lap or two at the end...it takes a while to build up a lead, just hang out there...that's what I do.

following on from 'Sage', I found Pit strategy to count more in this series than almost any other... You don't have to be in front all the time.... so long as you're on a different pit strategy than the others, it can easily work out that you end up in front only after the first/second round of pitting (or even later..!!)... I won this series in an F094S, with a few hairy moments  too... very good fun this series, and as Der Alta 👍 said in another thread about this before... this is getting to the real meaning of GT when you're battling to win rather than just max out the car and win by a mile...

It really sucks using the F1 cars against other cars thats why the F1 gt championship is fun coz you get a bit of compatition untill you get miles ahead of the other cars!!!
