Why are we www.forzaplanet.net if we Don't Offer Forza News?

I've seen worse, much worse. How about entire comments full of it. If you look at Youtube comparisons between the 2, PS3 vs VBOX or GT vs Forza, and one chooses PS3 or GT, thousands of XBOX fans comment with their usual rubbish " U FAG XBOX BETA DAN PS3 SUCK MY ****" or "FORZA BETTER THAN GT CAUSE IT HAV FERRARI AND PORSCE AND CUZ IT ON XBOX SUCK MY ****" It's all just the normal attituse of a fanboy.

I know but you make it sound like GT and PS3 fanboys are angels, they aren't, really they are all idiots.

PS3 fanboys are more mature, we all know that!

I don't think I'd like having Forza news cluttering up the GTP news feed. I'd prefer things to stay the way they are now.

Right now the site is set up to direct all incoming traffic to the GTP news feed. Hypothetically speaking, the forwarding could be changed so that the base gtplanet.net domain is sent to the current news feed, but the forzaplanet.net domain directed folks to a second news feed maintained with Forza in mind. In this way, the community could be expanded while at the same time leaving the main page unchanged for most users, and it wouldn't require a major shift in design, with the possible exception of the need for new artwork for the new page.

I do agree that Forza 3 should have its own forum, in the XBox 360 section at the very least. If it turns out that there is enough activity to warrant it, it could be moved to a more prominent location in the forum structure.

I wouldn't mind seeing a sub-forum for Forza 3 👍 If it's as good as they say it is.. it's a must buy ( ;) )

As for the forum, things like the Rumble Strip and other general areas could be dynamically shared (clicking takes you all to the same GTP area) whereas forza specific sections would be exclusive to the forzaplanet site.

This way GTPlanet keeps its dominance whilst attracting a whole new crowd.

The only problem would be, as Jordan touched on, is that it could be quite a lot of work to get setup plus it would need extra server power.

I really think with Forza starting to create a legacy and with the name forzaplanet.net already in the bag it would be a great opportunity to put it to better use.

Robin.

I think it would be pretty cool to have two linked sites that are otherwise separate. GTP would probably keep it's dominance simply because it's been around longer, and a lot of the established members here would hopefully carry the intelligent discussion here to that site, making both dominated by the GT base we have here.

It would be a way to have two communities that are separate yet connected.

Would it even be possible to make it so you are members at both without re-registering at the other?

Yes, it is possible. Actually doing it is another issue, though.

I'm all for more Forza coverage etc - i'd rather stay here and talk about it than register at another Forza forum where i don't know anyone. There is room for Forza and GT in this world, they balance each other out quite nicely. :)
