I have moved on for now.. I have other games and subscribed to PS Plus extra for a few dollars..
For context I had crew 1 with CAU and crew 2 with some delux pass that gave some extra stuff whilst crew 2 did a lot of good things I just found it a tad overwhelming or something

I moved back to pc and completed FH 3/4&5 forza 7 loads of need for speed games I'd missed over the years that were on sale.
Then got a ps5 at last and GT7 and it's so bare bones i was bored after 3 months so have picked up the crew 2 again they added loads since i last played. Also nfs heat is going free this month it was one of the better nfs i played on pc so got that on PS to play again.

This weeks summit ice races are good fun

I'm still active for the Summits and Season Updates. When I'm not doing that, I just mess with the many cars to see how they are to drive.

I've never committed to joining a crew for boosting etc but maybe I'll get back into it if my extra subscription expires. Just feeling like I'm not missing out on much apart from ranking in the summits

i hope they continue to do weekly events for awhile. But also would love for them to make a stable 60fps crew 3 that looks great.

Yeah I hope the next crew game is a knockout. I'd wish for 60fps but I'm trying to keep my expectations low lol

I'm still active so I can get all the cars exported from the Crew 2 to be imported into The Crew Motorfest, so I don't have to go car shopping as much in the latter (it saves me credits). I'm still active in the summits whenever I can.

The Crew 2 is still a really good game, and the summit rewards have recently been better than what you get in Motorfest. Boosted parts sets are always worth getting, and if you get an exclusive car, it feels like it has more value as you get it in both Crew 2 and Motorfest. Exclusive vehicles in Motorfest are only 1 in 4 or 5 summits, and they always seem to be slower than the meta options. The one thing you can get in Crew 2 which is absolutely guaranteed to be meta, a boosted parts set with the correct affixes, doesn't exist in Motorfest.

The graphics in Motorfest are better, of course, but the Crew 2 map is more interesting and varied. Some of the gameplay in Motorfest can be more varied, but I feel they've gone a bit too far with some gameplay variants - the chase squad stuff is particularly bad, and the new events where you have to complete quotas of target hits etc aren't great.

Overall, The Crew 2 is still a really solid game, and Motorfest isn't simply a straight improvement on it, much like FH5 isn't a straight improvement on FH4. Even if someone has already completed The Crew 2 and got every car and boosted parts set, it's still possible to have fun doing it all again on a new account.

I played TC2 early on on PS4 but stopped after a few months as there wasn't enough to do at that stage. I returned to it on Series S last year, as a now "complete" game.

I'm a long way behind other players so for me I'm still playing the game as there's lots I haven't completed, most of the events have only been done at "normal " or "hard" level. Just found out that doing events on "ace" level earns higher level rewards so I can finally start to finish off some gold part sets on vehicle types other than Street Race.

The other things that keep me playing TC2 are the 400 cars I still need (including summit cars) and also the map which remains the game's biggest asset in my opinion.
