Why can we not remove the "Chassis Reinforcement"?

Nurburgring North Loop Times-

Pre-Suspension Tune- 6:59.433
Post-Suspension Tune- 6:58.757

Pre had terrible understeer, which was very unpredictable. Post has a little better understeer, but it felt less stable and less grippy. Post was a little better to drive but still frustrating. Both times were terrible compared to no Rigidity bar, and drove way worse too.

Using default LSD settings I assume also... try 5/5/5 for open LSD, which is better than default fully adjustable settings most of the time. You can work up from there, but I can pull 6:40's on Nordschleife with GT500 NSXs on Race Hards so I think you may have other issues than suspension and chassis reinforcement to work out.

As for the understeer, try setting Anti-Roll Bars to 5/6 (or 4/5) or even 4/6 depending on how much you need to compensate.

Here's another alternative set of Ride Height, Spring Rates if you want to test:

Ride Height: +6 F / +7 R
Spring Rate: 15.6 / 14.0

Much better handling. Still unpredictable. I really wish I could take this bar off, cause 6:52 was my 1st lap ever in my Stealth GT-R untuned, and it didn't have this damn bar :(

You can try raising the LSD in small increments until you find a threshold that becomes problematic then back off the setting a bit. The open differential will handle okay so long as you keep both drive wheels on the track, run off in the grass and it's another story. Try 7/7/7, 10/10/10, etc.. you might find something like 12/14/13 works best... then you can scale it up from there like 24/28/26. I'm not sure anyone is completely certain about how the LSD in this game works but finding ratio then scaling ratio tends to work for me; you might have to tweak it a bit after a scale, like 25/27/26 might be closer to optimal, etc.

Other things; using maximum aero? Try reducing rear aero in small increments if you think it still understeers. Jack the camber up to 3.0/1.5; 4.0/2.0; 5.0/2.5...

You can reset your Stealth Cars (only if you redeem the code and download directly from PSN). In your Game Data folder, there's a 40KB file, delete it then go to Download History and redownload the car. Voila, your DLC cars is now back to 0 mile.

What is the name of this file? Don't have any with 40kb only one with 32kb and an other with 29 kb...

In total I have 5 files:

GT5.0-----------0-File-----------645 KB -> This has to be the save file?
ICON0-----------PNG-Picture-----29 KB
PARAM.PFD------PFD-File--------32 KB
PARAM.SFO-----SFO-File---------3 KB
PIC1------------PNG-Picture-----5 KB

I am pretty sure you could just remove the Stealth Cars from your garage and download them again from your downloadlist. Anyway, never ever change something on "unique" cars, I don't even upgrade normal race cars in the game (except for tires).

Too bad this knowledge wasn't around on Day 1. :grumpy:

You cannot remove them from the garage and only redownload doesn't help... and yeah if only I knew before :grumpy:

Wrong Folder. You are in the "Saved Data" folder, not the "Game Data" folder where GT5 files will be if you allow the game to install ~8GB of data on your HD. Go to the XMB and the "Game Data Utility" folder is at the top of the Game tree.

Can't access these files... how do you do that? Do I have to save it on a USB stick or what? And if so there isn't a file with 40 kb either...

I agree this should be possible. I know the real world justifications, but the game should allow us this because non-undoable, instant saving modifications gives too many chances to make mistakes.

Like the automatic-shifting manual transmission or being able to pause the game, there are some concessions a game can make for the sake of being a game after all. Reversing the chassis mod is one of them.

Hell, I think the racing mod should be undoable! my 2c
