Why can't we just like GT for GT's sake?

Maybe if they be patient?

Yea I do agree with the OP there is so much hate and greediness from most people. Just play the game for what it is. Who are you to ask Polyphony to do anything?

I am also over the threads of I want this car or Whats the fastest fwd car or whats the best setup for this car.

I think the problem is that there are alot of kids on this forum that really dont understand how to modify their cars and the physics involved in doing things.

I also think there needs to be better moderation because there is so much crap to sift through on these forums!

Who cares what you want for the next update. Its not up to you.

Really?!? I'm a loyal GT fan since GT1, and there is nothing wrong with wanting and expecting more from PD. I have played GT5 for what it is.. a darn good time trial simulator, and its really just boring now.

I agree with you about all the kids that are fans of GT, explains why all the online races are 750pp an up, or 1000hp and 700kg on race softs.:ouch:

I know the update is not up to us, but PD would do well to take advice from the feedback section and make vast improvements in a good direction, remote B-Spec, what a joke, thats like putting a bigger motor in a car with no wheels, makes no difference.:indiff:

Um, what?

GT4:
4 times as many A-spec events than GT5
Much more variation of A-spec events
More Championship and medium length races
More and better rally events
Huge selection of wheels for all cars
Far superior progression system
Far superior credit system
Far superior difficulty system(A-spec pts.)
More tracks and better selection of tracks
savable car setups
Tire wear variance from hard to soft compounds
Qualifying and/or practice for Championships
oil change and saves during championships
Nitrous oxide
Brake upgrades
on screen pit notification
Better used car lots and more selection
more replay options
B-spec speed up and changeover option
Many more sellable cars

This is a new game. You can't expect everything from GT4 to make it in GT5 or even GT6, for that matter. That's like saying you want an upgraded GT4...

I'm not saying I wouldn't like some of those things in the game, but learn to live with what you have. We're getting seasonals, we have online now, course generator, etc. Plus, PD was still updating GT5:P's online and worked on GT:PSP during the time they were also making GT5.

👍

I'm mad about the game because it feels like they did a half a$$ job with it. They could have done so much better. Yes it looks good, but it seems like they focused too much on making the game look good and skipped over the racing part of it (yes i know the cars handle good), more levels, better damage, damage and tire wear from the start of the game, etc

Sequels of games should be better than the previous entries. You add to what you've got. There is no reason why there should be so few A-Spec Events. They literally have to come up with a name, pick 3 tracks and opponent cars. Done. Even go the easy route and pick manufacturers or iconic car models and make events for those. That's an easy 50 or so events right there.

Learn to live with what we have? Sure I "live" with it, it's just a video game. If tomorrow they said they were giving up on updates for it I'd complain for about 15 minutes or so and then play some more F1.

I don't feel robbed or anything, but the game doesn't live up to other racing/driving games released a few years prior, I'm going to point that out when asked for my opinion.

What so kids arent allowed opinions or the right to ask questions on a forum?? No they probably dont understand the brake bias or supensions and ride heights, thats because they are KIDS. They can ask how to learn about the tuning of vehicles, otherwise how else would they learn. And most importantly its a GAME not a real mod shop, get a grip. The fun police are out and so are the sheriffs of forumsville.

I disagree totally.
Because its a new game that took almost 6 yrs to make, there are no expectations for at least as many useful features as GT4?
There is absolutely no reason you cannot legitimately expect, useful, convenient, well thought out and implemented features, most of which were in previous games. None.

Lets see, GT4 was $30. Gt5 was $60.
GT4 has 4 times the content and much better and more features.
I know about inflation, but thats about 200% in 5.7 years.
But because its a new game, none of that matters?

Sorry not even close.
Those things should have been in the game to start with.

But now that you mention that, guys like you and many others at GTP are a corporation's dream come true.
Get your money for an inferior product and then throw some crumbs out to them when you feel like it.
You think their doing you a favor.
Where is your self respect people?

To play the game, you have to learn to live with it.
Likeing it is another matter entirely.

Plus, PD was still updating GT5:P's online and worked on GT:PSP during the time they were also making GT5.

So we are the ones, the paying customer, that gets shortchanged because of PD's misplaced priorities?
And likewise bear the burden grovelingly and happily?
I don't think so.

I still do believe Sony played a major role in the misplaced priorities.
However Kaz got in bed with em, if thats true its his responsibility to kick em out.
Bungie had to do the same thing in a similar situation.

if I could give you rep points SUPERCOBRAJET I would

Lol GT5 is not a racing game its a driving game, you have either not played any real racing games or you have tunnel vision , there a FAR better racing games out there by a mile.

...and what games would they be? I've never played a racing game even close to GT5? Apparently you don't play online because that's a race and I like to win!!!!

Probably talking about games with qualifying, practice, penalties, flags, rules, etc.
