I may get a lot of flack for this from the "Legit or quit" crowd, but why is it that once a car is modified outside of GT5, it can no longer be used in a transaction there but in a thread which has essentially become the "Request a Hybrid" thread. I remember a post by one of the mods saying that they didn't want the Marketplace spammed with people wanting a hacked car, but isn't that what the Marketplace is really, people wanting a certain product from someone in the community.

This goes into how GTP does not support hybrids. Keeping it on a low manageable level as not to break any already broken AUP and Sony Terms of Service rules and guidelines. Or something along those lines.

That makes sense, but if the site wanted everyone to follow the ToS, then why allow it in the first place.

As Dino said, it's the way it is to keep it in an easy-to-find location and to prevent numerous threads from popping that are, in essence, the exact same thing.

And we're allowing it as much as we are because there's simply nothing we can do as a whole to prevent it from spreading; that doesn't mean we condone tutorials and the likes, because we don't.

We don't condone the making of hybrids. We don't support hybrids. However, as we don't control GT5 or the internet, there is nothing we can do to stop people making them or trading them, but this does not mean that we should make the trading of them easier.
