OK, so I finally made it to level 30, so I could do the X1 challenge and of course if you hit anything your disqualified.........WHY:grumpy:? Why can't they just let you race, no matter what you hit...........

Please for the next patch let us just race and don't worry about what we hit.......Please.

Sorry for the rant, it's just driving me nut's ! ! ! ! ! !
 
Yeah I tried many times and failed at it, but if we were allowed to race by banging along the wall, it'll feel a bit hollow.

Only fair thing is they either increase the bronze times or put in demonstration video of the AI doing the challenge so we can learn a thing or two before trying.
 
Once you win your own X2010 you can take it anywhere. Or even better, borrow one from your friends if he/she got it to share online.
I guess it's like proffesional painters: you can mess around with the colours and paint something very abstract and make it very famous, but before that you must prove you know how to paint a realistic portrait properly.
 
WTF more do you want, they just upped the bronze by almost 10 seconds each, if you can't at least bronze it now then you honestly shouldn't even be playing GT5 =/.

Even a beginner could get it in a matter of minutes now.

That's too harsh! I remember my first time with an X2010, it seemed undriveable for me as it turned too fast, and I couldn't tell at first how much grip did it have, so sometimes I reduced the speed too much, and sometimes I ate the wall at 300 kmh
 
It's a challenge, you have to learn how to drive the car before being given freedom with it. The X1/X2010 was meant to be the pinnacle car of the game...until it was duped. There wouldn't be so many bad drivers online with the X1/X2010 if PD had made the car untradeable right from the start, unfortunately they acted too late.
 
You need at least 3 hours now to clear it.
Before it took over 12 hours.
It's easy, I've passed all 3 in less than 2 hours.
Nurburgring took me 1:15h, Monza took me 5 minutes and Suzuka took me 30 minutes.
It's really easy if you're going for bronze, just keep trying.

Its annoying i know, i fully understand you, but there is a pretty good reason for it.
The S.V. challenge has the License Rules, cause without them in Suzuka and Nurburgring you would be able to gain 10seconds per lap by cutting some corners and chicanes.
 
What should be available is a practice mode so you can get used to the car.

Always restarting from the start is not a good way to get to learn the car and track.

Monza as well. All 3 tracks have a chicane that can be cut to save time.

His question and expectations are not so strange... the AMG Challenges all let you hit walls without getting DQ'ed.

Because it's quite a fun car to use for anything but the Vettel challenges and it's incredibly useful for B-Spec.

I thouroughly enjoy doing the 3-lap La Sarthe race from Dream Car championship with the X1. It earns you some credits and it's a track that was made for high speeds. 👍

Every race and challenge apparently needs a button that says 'This is too hard for me. Just give me the money and rewards, and let me pretend I beat it fair and square'...

That's GOT to be preferable to the current system, which is apparently, moan about it being SO hard on every forum you can, until PD make it easy enough for you to beat in your sleep. Mind you, this takes away the challenge for anyone ELSE that actually WOULD like something a bit harder. But hey! Who cares what THEY want, as long as you get that X1, eh?! :rolleyes:
 
I think they should have taken a different approach to doing this challenge, rather than disqualifying, would it not be a better experience to have a set lap time to beat and have as many laps to beat that time without the time going red? For me that would still be quite difficult but more fun at the same time, and much more time efficient
 
The only thing I would change about the Vettel challenge is remove the wait for the ghost, at the start.

Although it isn't as bad as the 1 lap Magic in GT4:banghead:

That is simply not true. You get one for free at B-Spec Level 35, so it requires no driving skill whatsoever to get an X2010.

It's already there, and called B-Spec. (Granted, it will take more than one button press to get it ;))

EDIT: Now that I think of it: with Remote Race all it takes is to put your drivers online for a fair amount of time. :lol:

That's nothing, try the NASCAR challenges from the pits, I still haven't beat those because of the wait :scared:
 
I'm another one that cannot pass Vettle. Not even bronze. Failing over and over is no fun. The car is insane, I have no wheel. I hear that the times for bronze were upped? I'll have to try again. So far, that speed to keep the car on the track for me is too slow. Faster and I fly off it.
