man, can you plaese type normally, its hard for me to read it..

For Example, instead of tite you could write TIGHT

I have noticed some people use very little correct grammar and spelling.... No offense, I am not perfect by no means. I just wonder why people do this sometimes..... Abbreviations are alright sometimes, in the proper times, but geez, give us a little break.......

The Mondeo touring car would be the old front drive 2.0 V6 car from the 2 litrel supertourer days in the British Touring Car Championships - I don't think it ever ran in any other spec, did it?

Heres one

Ok I've worked out the confusion here. The UK Lads including myself know the Mondeo only to well (UK roads are covered in em).

USA Guys probably aren't familiar with Mondeo's.

Plus the V6 2.0 in the BTCC is probably confusing US dudes again as it is a BRITISH Championship. Like Stock car is USA, Touring Championship is UK.

Plus I liked the Nissan Primera over the Ford Mondeo, Japanese cars Rule. But neither car is featured in Pal GT3 which is abit unfair.

why do u want the mondeo TC when you have the GERMAN TOURING CARS!!, TICKFORD FALCON XR8 AND THE Amazing JGTC!
CArs, batter your poxy cheap mondeo m8!

i thought the btcc league has changed, no more mondeo!

I thought they used the 2.5 V6?

Well - here's a thing.

They ran a 2.5 litre sleeved down to 2 litres (it was a 2 litre formula remember), but it wasn't the Duratec V6 from the Mondeo.

Under the Supertouring rules you could run any engine from your range (hence the old Carina that used to run around with the MR2 two litre in it). Mazkid will love this - they ran a sleeved version of the Mazda 2.5 litre V6 that was in the Ford Probe!

GT2 allowed you to style some cars like their BTCC counterparts, I seem to remember they had the Vauxhall Vectra, Ford Mondeo, Renault Laguna, Nissan Primera, and a few others. In GT3 they chopped out all the smaller cars like these, so I guess thats why there aren't any Touring Car versions. I like the DTM cars though, much more fun than BTCC cars were in GT2.

A lot of this talk about BTCC, DTM, and Super Touring is beyond my knowledge. I do know some good tidbits about the LeMans, but that was learned because of the GT40 pulling my interests there. All this other stuff is new and pretty interesting to me :cheeburga

no , be4 the modeo went out WITH STYLE they had put a i4 engine, and it finished 1st 2nd 3rd ....
and i dont think its ugly its pretty tite!, unlike ugly hondas which have a wing on top of a wing, dat make it look like there gonna take off into space or sumthin.....
plus that weak-ass noise it makes, all cuss of a cheap muffler

Wasn't that after all the other factory manufacturers pulled out of the series?

That pic was when the mondeo touring car was quite a new car in the BTTC. The Nissans ruled the BTTC most it was only the last year that they used saloon cars that the mondeo was sucessfull. Now BTTC has mainly coupes Vauxhall Astra coupe, Peugeot 406 Coupe, Honda Civic Type R (OK its kinda a coupe) apart from the MG X-Power touring cars (which look soooo cool). But this year BTTC has been heluva good. Oh yeah I suppose the new mondeo might come back to BTTC but I doubt it. Although the new model would look cool in The Yellow and Blue BTTC colours.

What was I saying?
