I don't know why everybody complains about the Skylines and Miatas in this game. I do agree that there's a lot but you gotta remember that Japanese people made this game. If you don't like than go play some other racing game. If you ain't use to it you should've by now. It's always been a known fact that all the GT series had a lot of GTRs. I don't think it's ever gonna change so quit crying about it. Go play Ford VS Chevy LOL... Negative and positive relies are welcome.

1) It's not that having lots of Skylines and Miatas is bad in and off itself, but if you have 50 Skylines and a huge friggin' lot of them only differ in very minor details, that's pretty dumb. The same's true for the Miatas. Could you tell the difference between a Mazda MX-5 J-Limited (NA, J) ‘91 and a Mazda MX-5 Miata J-Limited (NA, J) ‘91 when driving them in bumper view? Could you tell the difference between a Mazda Eunos Roadster J-Limited (NA) ‘91 and a Mazda MX-5 J-Limited (NA, J) '91? No? What's the point of having all of them, then? The only reason they're all in their is for numbers sake. And because they've been easy to model, once a base model was done.
If the same was done with the whole line up of BMW's 3 series, it'd be laughable as well.

2) Japanese game or not, it's not like there's a bazillion 'different' Supras, for example. And, either way, this isn't about the game being biased towards Japanese cars (which I don't mind all that much), it's just about this:
You've got a game that supposedly features one thousand cars, when half of them (rough estimation) are duplicates with incredibly small differences between them, if there are any, at all.

I'm not complaining about having too many Skylines and MX5s.

All that bugs me is the way that the game is billed as having 1000 cars when in fact a very large proportion of them are effectively duplicates of each other.

Just think the advertising is a little dishonest. That's all.

Same with the tracks. We're told the game has 71 tracks. No, it doesn't. It has about a third of that because they count the same track in reverse as a different track and even more ludicrously it is apparently a different track if it is raining.

Don't get me wrong, that's still a lot of cars and a decent number of tracks but it's not what they claim it to be.

I am not one of those that needs to collect every single car available so I am not too fussed about all the esentially duplicated cars.
I just consider it to be somewhat of a wasted effort as there are so many great cars from around the world that should have been included rather than 10 different itterations of Skyline's.
The argument that the game was made by Japanese is a little disingenious to my mind as the game is sold worldwide and not just in the Japanese market.
If you cater to a global audience you should balance your offerings with a global product.

Not in my opinion...then again, I'm still irritated that my E90 335i is not in the game. So for me, having the whole lineup of 3 series cars would be perfectly fine. Can't speak for anyone else though...

I agree with this. I would have been happy with just the japan or us version of a car. Both versions are not necessary if the only difference is the word Miata.

Half of 1000 cars consist of skylines and Miatas? No way...lol. It does take a certain percentage of the total car count but certainly not 50%. I get what you mean though. Another thing is these numbers of skylines and Miatas might come from the fact that, these are native automobile which makes it a easier access of resource. Shipping cars in or flying out of country to examine cars might be too "costly". Whatever the deal is, there's a reason why the game is what it is. Cheap? Probably but more cost efficient for making this game. Plus, to me, I don't even care much about the details they put into the premiums. I'd be happy with 1000 standards car that can have the option to swap aftermarket wheels. Why don't I just go play gt4 than you ask? The physics in GT5 is too ****en good. Back on topic, these skylines and Miatas doesn't bother me at all. All we can do is hope that GT6 would be a better game with more diverse wide range of cars.

I feel you on that one. I would really have like to have some cars I've owned in real life other than 50 mx5 and skylines but it is what it is. Kaz and PD really need to step their game up though.

I sure don't. I complain about people who own X1's/X2010's that didn't earn them......which is about 99% of the people who actually own those cars. Just for an example, I found a guy that was on L18 who was claiming he "earnt" his car!!

All those people come onto a track online and just act like complete muppets, ramming you off the track and just causing grief for the people who want to just have fun & race. Not to mention they whinge more than anyone else when you have limits set for weight/hp.

Dunno. I'm not talking about the different generations, just... E90 318i, 320d, 320i, 325i, 330d, 330i, 335i and so on. And that's actually a bigger difference than what can be found between the different Miatas, so I gues you have a point

Half of 1000 cars consist of skylines and Miatas?
Nope, but there's other cars that have been duplicated to hell and back again. RX-7, S2000, Lancers... Seriously, if you cut all of those cars with these minimalistic differences, you'd end up with a car list that's narrowed down to 750 cars, easily.

Another thing is these numbers of skylines and Miatas might come from the fact that, these are native automobile which makes it a easier access of resource
I highly doubt it. if that was the reason, we'd see more different Japanese cars as well. But nothing's gonna increase the car count faster than copy pasting a cars model, altering that one, single vent that's different on the 'new' version, adding 2HP or so and calling it a different car.
