Why does my SuperVeloce sound like an angry bumble bee?

So far, I'm ridiculously underwhelmed by the sound effects in this game. The only time the sound of the cars is accurate, is when you're changing cars and the car starts up for about 5 seconds. Upon startup, my Lamborghini Murcielago SuperVeloce actually sounds like it's supposed to. But in game? Sounds like an angry bumble bee. My FD3S sounds like a real rotary powered RX-7 upon startup. But in game? It sounds like a regular piston powered car. If you add any modifications to the cars, it gets worse.

Is PD aware that they've completely ruined the sound of these cars? Are they going to do anything about fixing it?

Well, that bumble bee you´re hearing is a totally incorrect sound sample given to the car by the masterful minds in charge of the sound dept at PD. You´re right, I´ve heard the SV in GT5 and it´s totally wrong. Does sound more like a V10, actually. The problem is that the V12 engine that the Murcielago uses can confuse the untrained ear and it can easily be confused by a V10. Obviously, the guy or guys in charge of the sound production at PD are not to nowledgeable when it comes to maching the correct engine sound sample with the correct car, and/or they got confused. It has happened always:grumpy:

Now, the regular Murcielago does sound closer to the real thing, so I suggest that you either try the other Murci, or try and play with different exhausts to see if it makes it sound like a V12.

The FD, I have to disagree. It does sound like a ligitimate Wenkel Rotary engine. Now, I don´t know if you´re talking about the premium FD or another one of the thousands of FDs in standard version?
