I was looking at the GT5 Matrix guide and notice you recieve 7538812 xp for completing the last endurance race for A-Spec, with that said whats the point of giving that much xp if you can't go no higher than level 40 (this isn't COD MW2 or BO). This really doesn't make any sense on PDs part 👎, why not just give that xp reward to the 24hr Le Mans Endurance instead witch would of made the grinding from 35-40 much less stressful.

Game was rushed out for xmas. Lots of things need to be streamlines/fixed. Despite all that its still a good game with the best physics on console.

Ahhh who ever said for sure that level 40 is the end? Has this been confirmed? How do you know in future updates it won't be extended to level 50 for example?

I think he thought people would actually enjoy the game rather than grind to just say "i've finished a-spec"

It's to level your Bobs... pretty obviously.

Once they reach a certain point in their careers the Bobs start losing their stats, so you retire them, create new ones, and level them with Nurburgring.

This was especially important for the Signature Event competition.

It maybe pointless but would you rather to gain nothing from the race instead?

I hope there's an update soon that greatly expands a-spec or adds on to it with a c-spec mode or something which uses your existing xp and crdits and lets you keep playing when you get done with this current, incredibly lacking a-spec mode.

Good point. It's assumed that L40 is the end, but who knows what's in the future of GT5?

It would have been better if Le Man was Lvl 36 and the Ring Lvl 38, that would atleast give you a reason to keep racing. Although as others have said who knows what Kaz's is planning

For all those who question Kaz's dedication to updating this game and listening to consumers.

Eurogamer: What's not perfect? You said on stage you're going to be upgrading every week, every month – what specifically do you want to work on?

Kazunori Yamauchi: That's sort of a surprise we're keeping for the future. Once games go online it's no longer the type of thing where you just make it, hand it over to the players and they go out and play it. Games will keep evolving.

Now it's released we're going to have several million people who'll become citizens of Gran Turismo. From here on we have to listen to their voice and see what they want and change the game accordingly to match their needs. So Gran Turismo really is just at the starting point, it's really the beginning and we're just going to evolve from here.

Kazunori Yamauchi: It's like a living creature, dynamically growing as we speak.

Journalist: Why did it take so long? And what is yet to come to perfect the game?

Kazunori Yamauchi: All the parts of GT are very difficult to develop and there's quite a gap between just completing something and perfecting it. In the process there's a lot of work involved between and sometimes that means getting rid of what you already have and starting afresh. That's what took the longest.
As I mentioned, we're already doing an update on the 27th to refine the usability of the game to make it a better experience. I think it's going to be hard to find an end to that process

If you have just read all that well done, but if you have read all that and still question KY's dedication to continually improving this game then GT will NEVER EVER be the series for you.

When you get to level 41 you have the option to enter Prestige Mode. You have to hit the accelerator to select yes and you hear this massive big block V8 rev.

They also reward you for prestiging again by allowing you access to fine tune a gear ratio: for example 1st prestige you get to tune 1st gear, 2nd prestige the 2nd gear slider opens up...

I don't think the major problem is that people want to get to lvl40 fast it's just that they want to get to that 24h Nur race. I can't think of a single good reason why it's such a drag to get there, it's not fun at all it's more like work. I'd honestly rather spend my day at work than drive 9h Tsukuba in any car. Hell even the 4h Tsukuba:crazy:

Perhaps the 1st 40 levels are just so you learn to drive and fine tune, I suspect large high end content updates are coming paid or unpaid who knows. There is no point having a leveling system in place with no reward at the end. Think world of warcraft they added end game content when enough people were at max level although it was free content as it is a subscription game, the real game started when you were at max level and joined a guild to raid. Maybe racing teams/clubs are on the cards and your racing team competes with other teams to unlock content etc.

All speculation they could have nothing planned lol wouldn't surprise me haha

Dear everyone who beat me to the point; Damn you.

I highly doubt what we see in A-Spec will be the end of all events, same goes for Level 40. There'll be more, I'm sure of it. I think GT6 is a long, long way off. There's so much that can be done with GT5 and the PS3 yet... And Sony will be shoving that fact down Kaz's throat as if he doesn't realise it.

I doubt there will be more after 40.
40+ will mean INSANE exp and what could possibly be more and harder then the 24h of the Nurburgring? Nothing if you ask me xp.

Kaz should do something about the 24h races anyway 'cause those are insane and lame. Those races are just boring and not challenging at all. You'll end up with 200+ laps ahead of driver in second place.

Kaz should put in some challenges like the Vettel challenge. That's one hell of a challenge and not those lame ass 24h races -.-'.
