Why doesn't PD provide more options?

How did he say something different? Vram is being used by the GPU which makes it something very different so the actual amount of RAM that acts as a bottleneck in this case for the system is 256, like he said.

the ps3 uses the cell to do tasks traditionally done by the gpu, using system ram . PS3 isn't bottlenecked with only 256mb for graphics.

I've noticed PD isn't really the kind good at long term planning.. hence the clustertruck of updates aimed at continuing the "development" of GT5.

Back on the topic of the options, or the lack thereof,,,

I can't understand why we can't use the same amount of settings flexibility for an online room as they use for the seasonals. Things like the region of the cars, road models only, dimensional limits, weight range (min/max) and even a power range (500 - 550bhp for example) would no doubt be a much better option than, for instance, "Touring Cars", which include the R8 LMS, but not the DLC TC's or the Japanese GT's. I love running DTM vs GT500/GT300 races, but there's always one complete moron, who thinks that because the room is set for 650bhp to evenly accommodate most cars fitting that genre, he can come out in something completely inappropriate.
I know there's a lot of categories right now but surely it could be better thought out than is current.
Sure, it could alienate some people who aren't so technically minded about things, but surely this could be part of an extended "Advanced Options" tab perhaps?
