Why doesn't this avater work?

when i paste the url in, i get an error message saying that it can't find the url...

well, now I don't get the url message... however, it is telling me that it's not a valid jpg or gif file... the url ends in ".gif", so shouldn't it work?

I don't see anything - I think that address to the image is incorrect (http://email.bigvalley.net/cache/bi...pxdwyggidsg9000078be@hotmail-com/flamewar.gif). Why don't you just upload the file directly from your computer?

I would guess that it doesn't work because the link is to a file on your mail server which requires a username and password. You might try what Jordan is suggesting. Save it to your desktop and upload it to GTPlanet with the "browse" option in the Avatar section.

u get your own avatar to express ur self. Its a privellige after 200 posts. And no, u cant change your screen name from what i know.

1) You can get your own avater after you have 200 posts. If you want to make your own, click on any avater for a little pop-up that'll tell you how to.

2) As you'll read in the FAQ, you can not change your username.

Viper, click on your avatar as seen on this page, a pop-up window comes up, then it will tell you how to make one/who can make one for you.
