I always wonder myself why gran turismo cars don't roll over.
Let's suppose we make a turn to the right. If we make a fast turn like we do on gran turismo but in real life the weight will quickly transfer to the left and the car would quickly roll over due to the High
G force. then why they don't roll over?

The vast majority of car in real life will not roll if you just hard right...

I have flipped a few cars in GT6 so far by going wide off track and hitting a bump at an awkward angle, I find it has a very realistic physics model for this.

I had a huge crash at Daytona in a NASCAR and the car rolled over several times.
First time it happened to me since GT5 came out.

I've only flipped 1 car and that was the Cateram fully tuned so it was even lighter than usual. It happened on Willow springs on one of the sausage curbs. All other cars I've only lifted maybe a foot off the ground.

I've had several flips. Imo it's pretty easy to roll over. Just brake-turn sideways aggressively after a long high speed straight. Similarly, if you spin out at a high speed straight without giving the AI much time to react, if they slam in to you at high speed, that can also flip you over.

Lastly, the side banks at Willow Springs. Just drive in to one of those at high speed and your car will go in to an aggressive tumble multiple times over. It's actually quite fun.

Only online you're STILL not able to flip a car, it is very easy offline though. :D

You can get the up on two wheels though . Deep forest Reverse with a quick car will definitely get you on two wheels, especially on the back straight on the mountain.

I think most people here have the opposite affect as the OP. Cars roll pretty easy, especially with stock/soft suspension.

I've rolled more in gt6 in a couple of weeks then in gt5 for 3 years! :) I think that if it is any it's too easy to roll cars over! :)

In real life modern cars don't roll over following a sudden right turn - in Scandinavian countries "The Elk Test" has to be passed before a new car can go on sale - this involves a sudden swerve. The original A class Merc failed this test and it cost a vast amount in re-engineering and the development of new electronic stability interventions befoe it passed.

What is this... In GT5 there was a whole trophy just for rolling over. In GT6 it is very easy on some tracks. I did a front flip in my Mine's Evo VI on Matterhorn, so the cars definitely can roll over. That last turn on Trial Mountain is certainly easy with any car if you get too close to the big curb.

I had the AI hit me in one of the mission races and my car rolled. It was the classic racers at LeMans. Figured those cars were too low to the ground, but I guess they are light with soft suspension. Given how the cars nearly do front flips while braking hard it's just a matter of time before I flip a car that way. All it's going to take is a little push from the me on the AIs bumper when coming over a hill.

I occasionally roll cars and not always my own doing....I have rolled a Mitsu Evo at Deep Forest (the tight right hander after the first tunnel, clipped the inside kerb and rolled), a Mito at the entrance to the Casino corner in Monaco (came up the long uphill, applied the brakes which lifted the rear way off the ground but was turning and braking and it sent the car flipping for a 1070 sideways roll and then rolled it again on the same lap at the hairpin when I took too much of the inside kerb). Those are the only ones I remember at the moment but am sure there have been others......I have learnt to stay clear of kerbs unless I can help it

Yes online you get on two wheels and then a magic force pulls you on the road again...

i thought that in Gran turismo you cant flip a car...
i have never flipped a car in turismo from gt1 to gt6 never...
I always assumed it was coded so that they don't flip...

Weird...

We can flip cars since GT5. GT1 to GT5 Prologue, we couldn't.

LOL the last time I rolled my car was at Grand Valley Speedway in my GT-R. 👍

LOL! The only car I've rolled has been the R35 GT-R. First time was at grand valley (in last corner tunnel, before the tight s section, before the start/finish straight) then I also rolled same car at the ring at the flugplatz section. Both times I grabbed a bit too much curb, stock/unmodified both times, the rollover felt unrealistic to me and very forza4-ish rollover but man was I laughing!

I mean, you can't roll over a car just by turning at a moderate-high speed, no ramp curb aids or something.

Gran Turismo cars *do in fact roll over. I can't say they do so more easily or less easily, but I do know I've rolled a couple in GT6, the latest last night when I caught the first turns at Matterhorn badly. This is one of those times I'm glad for driving a virtual car, since the s2000's roof isn't much to keep my head from being crushed.

I swear I rolled a few cars and they did about 20 rolls and 15 back flips.

Similar in style as tom daily when he came out the closet.
