Why don't the cars roll over?

You can get the up on two wheels though . Deep forest Reverse with a quick car will definitely get you on two wheels, especially on the back straight on the mountain.

I think most people here have the opposite affect as the OP. Cars roll pretty easy, especially with stock/soft suspension.

I saw an ai get on its front 2 wheels under heavy braking at cote azur(?). I was right behind it at the hard right before the tunnel and his back end went about 3 feet in the air. Looked funny on replay!!

Like this?

I mean, you can't roll over a car just by turning at a moderate-high speed, no ramp curb aids or something.

The vast majority of cars will definitely not just roll if you make a sharp turn to one direction (with exceptions such as a the Reliant Robin).

Without being able to teach you about the actual physics of it (someone else can probably do it better), the tires simply do not have the grip required for the forward going momentum to flip the car. Instead the tires will give up first, loose grip, and let the car 'slide' instead.
I guess the fact that cars have suspension also helps to some degree - meaning that some of the force will go into the damping etc., instead of turning over the car.

If anything, I think it is a bit too easy to flip the cars in GT6 as it doesn't take a lot to upset the cars - and once they're slightly on two wheels, it's only moments before you are wrong side up..

LOL! The only car I've rolled has been the R35 GT-R. First time was at grand valley (in last corner tunnel, before the tight s section, before the start/finish straight) then I also rolled same car at the ring at the flugplatz section. Both times I grabbed a bit too much curb, stock/unmodified both times, the rollover felt unrealistic to me and very forza4-ish rollover but man was I laughing!
Flugplatz for me too.. Lol

Also I rolled my car in gt5 the first day, and in gt6 too and I'm not even a bad driver. :D just messing around a lot when the AI is too slow

You can easily roll your car over in turn 9 at the Tokyo track. Just hit the kerbs with enough speed.

The vast majority of car in real life will not roll if you just hard right...

I have flipped a few cars in GT6 so far by going wide off track and hitting a bump at an awkward angle, I find it has a very realistic physics model for this.

Rolling in real life is normally a result of an idiot.

I have also rolled several cars in GT6, the latest being the BMW Z4 GT3, (using Sports Soft tyres!) taking a bend at about 140mph, AI car clipped my rear end, I managed to keep control until I touched the curb, then that was it.

Edit: "Rolling in real life is normally a result of an idiot." or losing control. (see vid in next post) :p

Nasty, though he had already lost control, he was sliding 'sideways' when he hit curb/grass edge.
Unless drifting (or losing control), race drivers don't actually travel sideways.
