Why I hate the X1...

I completely regret getting this car. It destroys every other car so badly, that its boring. And now that I have the best car in the game, I have lost incentive to try to get any more cars.

I would rather a Old Fashioned, fancy car. But after I got this, I don't feel as excited to get one.

Im not sure why... sorry if you don't care about this at all, but does anyone feel the same?

No...

Have you not tried joining in with or participating in an online racing series with cars of equal or matching performance???

Start racing regularly with a group of clean racers who are at the same skill level as you and all in equal performance cars.

Once you start doing that more often, the game suddenly becomes alive.

Race in races, not 1 lap sprints of the ring, or 3 laps of trail mountain etc actual races - like 10-30 minutes long, where tyre wear and maybe even a pitstop is required. Once you start having some decent and very close races i.e. where the first 3 cars are split by less than 0.5 seconds after 20 or 30 miles of racing (with no crashes, spins or contact), then you'll forget about the X thingy - whatever it's called.

I race in a number of different series, all clean and fast racers. We've had so many finishes where 2-4 cars are spllit by less than a second - or less, after 20-30 miles of racing. Start experiencing this regularly and you see it's far more exciting, nerve racking and enjoyable than just driving one single car around certain tracks at warp factor 9.

Leave the Redbull 'thing' for B spec Bob.

That's what who said?

Nevermind. It was a joke.

That's what who said?
There was just one guy (I'm assuming male?) who said basically "it's a computer it's made to stay on". That's all he said.
And my point is, yeah, but computers overheat too. That guy said nothing about someone who's running gt5 continuously for a week straight on an older (more worn) ps3, with a room temperature of 82 degrees with high humidity and no air circulation. LOL

It really depends on the environment & the age of said computer or ps3.

I'd be willing to bet that if you took 2 ps3s that are identical, brand new, in the same exact environment. The one staying on running gt5 continuously is NOT going to live longer than the one that doesn't run gt5 continuously for long periods.
That was my point.

lol that guy was making a joke.

Also yeah I said it but I assume no one keeps their computer or console in a hot room with high humidity and no air circulation... That's just asking for them to die.

However properly ventilated and dust free they will last for a very very long time. I've seen posts where people say they never leave their PS3 on for more than 2 hours or so because they are afraid it will overheat when the reality of it is turning them on and off frequently causes more damage than just leaving it on.

Anyway it's partially my fault but this is getting off topic. Back to the X1 talk lol.

Well, I still don't get the joke...
(I'm a woman so if it was a sexist joke, it's probably better that I didn't get it.)

And I think some people do keep their computer/ps3/whatever in a hot humid room... I think some people don't know any better. Not everyone knows about ventilation needs of electronic equipment. I've met people that don't.

2 hours, of course is a bit much to worry about. I'm sure the ps3 is tested to run games for a lot longer than 2 hours. And there's a big difference in wear & tear between "just leaving the ps3 on" and "leaving the gt5 running". I'm sure it's fine to be left on for 2 months, less sure it was tested to run gt5 continuously for 2 months at a time, for ages on end.

Which is why I don't. Also, in regards to the topic... if more than one person (a whole family especially) is sharing a ps3, then even if you do leave your ps3 on for days on end - doesn't mean you can run gt5 continuously if other people want to use it.

Which was my point about the x2010 being more of a "temptation" to use for grinding or "cheating" or whatever people complain about it being used for.

And my boyfriend says it's true, and the newest post about online racing proves it... The game wasn't made for aspec single player. It's obvious the game was geared toward online racing. The single player is so limited in so many ways. That's not the fault of the x2010. It's the nature of how the single-player aspect of the game was made.

I agree with you. There are many people who don't understand how to take care of their electronics but with proper care they will last for a very long time. :)

I use the X2010 for Dream Car sometimes and while I know it's no competition, I'm trying to get some practice in for the Vettel Challenge in the Special Events (there when you hit L30). The physics are so 'otherworld' it's like playing a completely different game.

I love driving the Vettel. It's the only car I use when I run..erm.."grind" the dream car championship in a or b spec. Going from the Vettel to another car isn't a problem for me either.

i could'nt agree more the x1 is fastand amazing but nothing is special with it. an e type for 20.000cr is more fun because it drifts and therfor its fun it has its own personality, the x1 however i would not drive for ever because i would simpelly get bored to quickly.
