Why in the hell are the AI on the FGT A-Spec so aggressive?

I disagree with the above statement.
I have noticed that while the AI are rather slow and blundering in most situations, in the FGT championship they are slow and dangerous. They don't hesitate to smash into you, and then as if they are on rails, drive off as though nothing has happened. Now for people who use no assists whatsoever, this can be very very annoying. What I did was power my way through the first 6 or 7 laps, get a good 10-15s gap, and then slightly ease off. You should win by about 3s and not have to worry about the crash bandicoots behind you =)

That's exactly what they do in every other event too. It just hurts worse in the FGT. Don't let them do that by simply waiting for them to let you through, and you'll cruise right by them. They still choose to slow down rather than press the issue almost all the time when you are in front of them.

The only real problem occurs if you are much slower than they expect you to be mid-corner. They try some silly moves when that happens(which they do in the other events too, you're just much less likely to be slower than them), and don't generally back off as easily in those situations as they do when you are coming up on them or when they are deciding whether to try a pass at the start of a corner.

Be honest now, it's not that hard to overtake the ai without muscling your way through without assists, ive been shunted of a few times, got pissed, rammed the ai off and won the race, never happened to me since, you just need to be fast at overtaking at corners
