Why is there no Corvette C6R race car?

The last GT had the C5R race car (as does this one). Why is there not the Corvette C6R Race Car?

You have to buy a street ZR1 and give it the racing conversion. It will become the C6.R GT2 then

At least the bodywork looks like the GT2 car. The GT2 had more pronounced fender flare than the GT1 had.

Hey other Corvette enthusiasts. Yeah believe it or not I sold the game a couple days ago partly because the C6-R wasn't in the game. Come to find out it was in the game and I repurchased it yesterday. LOL. That's how important that car is to me 👍

I'm glad the Z06, ZR1 and C6-R are all in the game it would have been nice if they added the LS2 and the LS3 versions though.

Hopefully in the next you'll be able to switch to "competitive driving mode" like the real deal C6.



Or be able to change what it says on start up like what I did with my C6 =D

I believe that is the z06 because I have a ZR1 and the RM version is just white and black.

I thought the race mods preformed on both the ZR1 and Z06 came out exactly the same? Is there only a performance difference? Because they look identical when race modded.

Let me also add that the headlight assembly is wayyy different as well as the front air dam. The headlights are a little BIGGER on the C6-R, (hard to notice but it is) the front fender design on the new GT2 is similar to the ZR1 but wider of course. They should have just added the real C6-R models... Instead we gets NASCARS and go karts

I could be wrong seeing that I didn't buy a Z06 and do the RM to it nor have I went to go and see how it looks. It must be the C6-R

Maybe you are right, I saw some pic of the ZR-1 that I thought looks different....

The model looks more like the GT2 cars than the GT1...

A few years late reply, but i found it interesting how PD messed this up.
Irl the Z06 was the GT1 and the ZR1 became the GT2. With the GT2 being the slower one, and less downforce.
The ZO6 RM has a wrong body model. It has the GT2 model instead of the GT1
Both just use the GT2 model, wich btw has the wrong rear difuser. It has the defuser of the GT1.

I really do not understand how PD could mess stuff up this bad. I wouldn't call my self a true fan, but i allways liked the racing Corvettes, so i hope PD will fix this in GT6.

There is probably license issues to making the car exactly like the race car. They may not have had them.
Also since it's a street car modified and not a ground up race car it might just be different.
