Every time I go in a lobby online with my orange redbull, I seem to get kicked. I totally get if I were ramming into people and just generally being obnoxious with it why they would kick me, but they won't even let me in? All I want to do is get some laps in with people to talk to I don't get the X1 hate?

And most people can't drive it, and as you say, just ram everyone. I've seen it a hundred times. Start your own room and hopfully you will get decent drivers. If not, kick em!

See Quotes

Because its near on unbeatable.

Plus it ruins other peoples experience, how fair is it that you are driving this car and getting ridiculous lap times like 1 minute times on a track where a good driver, driving a 650 pp can only get 1.4s for example.

It kinda speaks for itself really...

+1

If your are having a few laps with mates and you want to start a race etc most people have "quailfying" and it is so :ouch::grumpy: when you are -2.30 what ever seconds on better your mates lap and have some douche "spook" you causeing you to run wide etc lossing that gained time etc

I guess I'll start X1 racing lobbies then because I'm not trying to beat people I know they don't have a chance without an X1 but it's fun to drive you're on edge the whole time big reflex test.

I personally hate X1 the sound is annoying
same goes for formula
sry my opinion
I dont get same ppl
they enter your room and they see that ther are just road cars on the track and they take the X1 = KICK
No serious GT5 driver will drive X1
my opinion

The reason your being kicked is due to the fact that not everyone wants to race the X2010/11's. If you want to race this car look for Red Bull lobbies or start your own Red Bull lobby.

Many of us want to race cars that are similar in class, ie "Street Cars", Muscle Cars", "Touring Cars", "NASCAR", etc.. It is absolutely no fun for anyone else in the lobby when someone does play by the lobby's rules (if any are in place) and wants to race whatever they want.

I have no idea why PD even allows the X2010/11 to race with any other vehicle online, there is absolutely no point in allowing this, it just creates havoc in the lobby ruining the online experience for many of us that actually want to race.

When I'm hosting a room and I see someone jump in the X2010/11's it's an immediate kick from the room. I won't ask you to get out of it, I'm just going to show your the door.

Too all the people in this thread that just kick people for using the X1, there's an easier way to stop this. It's called "HP Restrictions" :) To be honest you don't need an uber fast car to have fun 👍

While I can see why people kick out X1s, I genuinely hate it when people kick out serious Tank Car users. Just because they are using it doesn't always mean that they are hitting others off the road or blocking the road (intentionally anyway).

X1's are kicked because the host of the room is terrible. They don't know how to set up a room. All it takes is PP or HP restrictions to keep the X1 out.

Fairness is not a reason to kick the X1, because if the X1 can even enter your room, how is a fair race even possible, unless the room is an X1 room? If the room is completely open no car is fair, because someone can just pick a faster car.

There are some reasonable rooms out there though, so keep looking. You can also try asking the host if it's OK. If all else fails just make your own room.

No serious GT5 driver will drive X1
It's hard to say something that is more clearly false than this.

No serious host will run a room without clear rules. The X1 is just another car. Kicking X1's on sight is just dumb. You may as well kick any car you don't like or any car that has a color or set of wheels that bothers you.

This car, sadly, has the worst rep in GT5. It's invincible and ultrafast, not to mention, a very low % of X2010-X2011 owners know how to drive the d:censored: thing... that explains more or less why it's not welcome on a high % of online rooms...

- This is correct. - I only use it offline, because I cant drive it, that well.

Anyone want to mention that it's not a real car?

I went to a talk by the then Aerodynamics guy from one of the F! teams organised by the University of Durham. This would be 10 or so yeears back.

He stated as fact that they could produce a car within the outside dimension boxes of the then F1 rules, assuming all they had to do was use a standard F1 engine and all of the other rules, regarding wings, fans and other devices were ignored capable of pulling so many Gs that a driver could and would kill himself in corners such as Silverstone's Becketts complex. The G forces they could produce would literally pull the guy's head from one side of the car to the other side and he'd be unconscious. The resulting accident would have the same sort of energy as an aircraft accident and spectators at all present F1 tracks would be in line for the debris.

The rules of F1 and many other formulas are designed to slow cars down. The Red Bulls are designed for maximum performance. They are fantasy cars and anyone that doesn't want to race against them is surely justified.

They are fun to drive, even if this 61 yr old's reactions are too slow to get the best from them. Anyone who wants to race them surely has to expect that the only other cars in the same class are other Red Bulls. All other cars are designed to a formula or price.

I don't see how that justifies much. It also applies to the majority of cars in the game once you get into tuning.

Oddly enough, just about every aircraft is capable of destroying itself just by flying, yet this doesn't happen regularly. The same technology and techniques used in aerospace shouldn't be very hard to apply to the X1. Even existing F1 tricks like making turns so sharp, even Formula cars need to crawl around them could be used to control the X1.

They are fantasy cars and anyone that doesn't want to race against them is surely justified.
The only strange thing is, if they don't want to race them, why are they even allowed in the room?

+9001

I hate it when I get in a free run room with no restrictions and no room title warning, drive X1 and get kicked despite not hitting anyone.

This.

If you pay attention to the room title (most people don't), most of them will have a theme going specifically for that room. If it doesn't say anything about it being open free run or X1's only, chances are you'll get kicked for bringing it out.

If only the title wasn't so limited. You can barely fit anything in it, and if the host changes, there's a chance that it becomes meaningless.

There isn't really an excuse for people who complain about X1's entering their lobbies. If it's your room, you are at fault. Just set the restrictions during the first two minutes of room set up. It benefits everyone.

It's ironic, the people who have a reason to complain, the X1 drivers, are the ones who don't. It's harder for them to block out some guy who drives a Fiat 500 road block or tank car in a X1 race, or X1 vs LMP etc race since the restrictions only work one way (X performance or better). PD should fix this and allow maximum weight/minimum hp and PP, along with a few more special options like the Ferrari only option, etc they added a while ago.

Still no excuse to ignore them. I have no problems fitting in a proper title, including the words STAY OUT when I'm testing and people still ignore it. :dunce:

I guess those people can't understand English, then.

What I dislike (I do not have an X2010) is that sometimes I enter a room, and I get kicked before i can change to a car that would fit the rules.

Again, titles come into play here. Some rooms are set up for league racing and if they don't recognize you, they may boot you. For my leagues I usually give one warning and if it's ignored then they get a forced exit.

In what context is the question, obviously if people are racing touring cars, road cars or some other set of parameters then yes you would kick the idiot who decides he's going to drive the x1. I've seen plenty o x1 lobby's though so just have a look and I'm sure you will find a welcoming lobby

It is possible fit a good title in the title box, but not always. And when people resort to abbreviations, which sometimes can't be avoided, the probability of someone making an error goes up.

Not necessarily. If there are no rules set, it's not clear what's going on. Sure, everyone could be driving road cars. But is that Mustang GT tuned to the same level as the other player's F430 or is this just not a serious room? If the rules say anything goes, then you can't really fault someone for picking anything.

I once entered a room titled "road cars" and drove my S7 because I felt like it. Later on the host complained about me picking a fast car "just to win". I guess he did not realize that I couldn't read his mind and automatically know how fast his car was going to be.

I host occasionally and everyone's welcome either to watch or drive an X1.

At least the automatic hate mail from people who have a good enough grasp of the English language to insult my mother, but not to understand "X1 only" seem to have dried up. :)

Start your own room called X1's only and see what happens.
A)Most people cannot handle this car and generally either cause mayhem, or wreck others because they lack the skill to drive it.
B)Most rooms either specify what pp or class of car can be used.

Start up an X1 room and usually the carnage follows.

Or you just get X1 drivers who want to race.

Out of curiosity, have you ever done what you've said? Made a bunch of X1 rooms, ran races, and then counted how many were good or bad? Or are you just guessing?

All this X1 talk is making me want to race them tonight.

Look for a lobby about 11pm eastern.

Because of all the people who use it to troll; it's now branded with the stereotype of being a trolls car.

I've been in lobbies where the person in the X1 has been the only person not ramming (except the host), but everyone starts whining "kick X1!!! XXPPP". The host decides to keep the hypocrites happy and kicks the RedBull :(

If I'm quite 'ok' with the host (usually am :sly:), I'll ask them "hey, do you mind if I cruise in my X1", where I'm usually told "yeah sure NP".
This results in the other people not complaining about the X1.

Anyways, enough rambling; sorry :D
I do believe that if you ask to drive the X1 first, the host/racers realize your not going to start trolling and they accept it. :)

If you just jump on track with it, and just touch someone you get t'evil eyes. ;)

EDIT: I should point out that it's Free Run lobbies i'm referring to, and if the race is started in said lobby I always change my car. I can't stand people racing those things against anything else.
