What more could they put in gt6. Ok, obviously there is quite a few stuff missing from gt5 that would probably end up in gt6 like more cars and more tracks and better driving physics. But I thought all that is downloadable? So why make a gt6 if you can update gt5?

Because, I imagine, PD will wait for improvements in gaming technology to utilise the maximum performance thay can get from their titles. After all, GT is a console selling game and is exclusive to Sony. I guess they'll wait until further improvements are made with hardware/softwear to bring more realism to the game and so that they can include everything that is required of a GT title.

Business, my friend, as Hawkeye said. Put yourself in their shoes.

"Hmm, let's include a few cars that only people who own the current game can buy/use."

OR

"How about we wait a year or two (or five ) and make another game to sell to millions of people around the world! Brilliant!"

What would you do?

Gt6? Gtp was supposed to have equal content to gt5, sony pushed the release date and cost us a lot of content. Now the easiest way to get that content to us would be, unfortunately, waiting for a gt6. Just hope we don't all get left in the dark in the mean time.

Because when GT6 comes out we will have a PS4, which means it will be even more beatifull, more faster and more stunning :)
And because they can...

Becouse we can have a FINISHED game ready whit the PS4 release.
ill be happy paying 500Dollar for ps4+gt6 pack :p

things that probably cant come from updates.
-Many premium cars whitout framedrops whit a full premium starting grid.
-No blocked shadows.
-More realistic rain/snow/thunder storms ? :) tracks getting real wet look if u drive tru at speed it leaves tyre lines behind cars.
-Flies,dirt and stuff splatting against the windshield.
DETAILS !!! i want more :p

things that can happen in updates?
-Ability to allow or not allow tuning pars and/or weigt adding and power limiter in online mode.
-Shuffle racing in diffrent classes.
-More cars in online recommended garage and more competetive.
-All GT tracks ever made ingame premium.
-Ability to set a minimum required pitstop(s) in online races.
-Flat tires due to abuse or little to much going true dirt.

the wishlist to perfection is long.
Meanwhile ill stay happy with GT5.
little bit waiting if every update brings something interesting.

You answered your own question, because there are things they can add that aren't in the game. They will make a lot more money by putting it in a new box with a new number next to it than if it were downloadable.

Gaming innovation is constantly changing, so even though we might think GT5 is the shi* there is still plenty more to come and it also has to do with money of course.

I hope they do... couldn't imagine a world without more Gran Turismo. It is a series that I have always looked forward to getting the next installment.

You can add:

More in depth upgrades (such as individual engine parts instead of just an unreversable engine package, as well as brakes).

Correct sounds for all cars. Actual research would pay dividends for PD.

Finish the quality of the standards cars so that they are of premium car quality (we all know that them leaving standard cars is half assed and not like the perfectionist quality Kaz Yam has given himself).

Actually rally races, not this half assed "rally season" they were supposed to have. This goes with NASCAR as well.

Less bugs. Has anyone ever read the description for the C1 Corvette? It's the description for the Silverado SS Concept.

The same amount of cars, but a broader range. We don't need a 91, 92, and 93 Civic EG SiR, no matter what the 13 year old Honda fan bois say about one being better than the other; they are the same damn car.

More correct physics. Cars DO lay black strips when they aren't smoking. Tires make more noise than they do in the game. Not all cars understeer mid corner. Not all MR cars enter a corner ass first, etc.

There's more, but if people can manage to quit drinking the fan boi Koolaid, they'll see this game is far from perfect.

Plus, DLC cars would only be useful for online races, as A-Spec is only so long.

A-spec isn't the only part of single player. What about hot lapping, time trials, and user created tournaments and series?

Because if all they do is update GT5 they won't get any more money out of you! 💡

Ok I guess they could start charging for DL content, but in the end new hardware will be available (PS4) which will make GT5 redundant as the graphics and game engine will be outdated.

Because, if they just kept on adding stuff through DLC and updates, our PS3 HDDs would be full of GT5 and nothing else.
They need to bring out stuff on disc to avoid this and (as mentioned above), make some money.
GT6 should be on PS3 and, it should be 2 discs like GT2. One of the discs should smell like burning rubber as well.

Can't you add half of that in dlc/updates

What world are you living in where there are more fanboys than there are people complaining and moaning about every feature.

PD stated there won't be any DLC.

Please quote where I mentioned any numbers, percentages, or even said anything close to that.

I said there ARE fanbois. I never said anything about the percentage of fanbois vs complainers.

another game= more eventual suspense then lots and lots of money for all the corporate bastards in that industry, downloadable content is clearly the answer

I'm suprised to see such a question aimed at a series which has only released five full games since 1997 spread over three different systems. I would understand it better if you had these thoughts about the yearly releases from EA Sports but even that would be an unrealistic dream. The fact the Gran Turismo demos are released with a price tag suggests that PD more than anyone needs to boost their turnover once in a while. No matter what, you didn't think hard about it before posting.

So are you saying they want more money, and I probably could have guessed that myself?

All you had to do was ask yourself whether it's realistic that Sony should stick to GT5 for an eternity while the rest of the world moves on. I'm sure your conclusion would be that it isn't. It's more than just making money the most effective way.

Well I really don't know what playstation 4 has to offer that playstation 3 does not. I still think the ps3 is pretty impressive. So what could PD add in gt6 that they could not in DLC. That was my thought process. But it is established that there will be no DLC. But you indeed have a point.
