Why no new Seasonal Using Spa in A-Spec?

Anybody else frustrated that they haven't made any new events using Spa? It almost makes it useless, minus online lobbies. But I always seem to get the packs of tools that think punting you off track is good racing, so I quit running online unless its an organized event I like! Just venting I suppose, and getting opinions! :grumpy:
 
I hope they do but its not useless in leagues etc., its a beautiful thing when driving formula cars with a good bunch of drivers online. Something A spec could never replicate.
 
Yeah, I can understand that, and I used to run the FIA GT cup that's now the Omega cup, but i don't have time for that sort of dedication to test and tune anymore, so A spec and the occasional online lobby are all i've really got to go on anymore.
 
If they used SPA in an A-spec seasonal then anyone could race spa when ever they want, with out buying the DLC
 
There has to be a way to lock people out of it though. The same as they can lock you out of events for not using a car that doesn't fit regs.

But that wouldn't be fair for a free update. If you are creating seasonals that not everyone can use I can see a problem there.

Not so much as long as there is an alternative event for those who do not have the dlc. Seems fair to me and I don't have it.

Sorry, I don't agree with that. I feel that if it should be the same rewards if the events are changed for people who didn't buy the DLC. Why must people act elitist here?

^ This. At some point I'd imagine that PD will make Spa available in an A-spec seasonal, even for those who didn't buy the DLC. But I wouldn't expect it for a while. Too soon after the DLC came out. A future update may even include Spa for everyone, but those who bought would feel rather ripped off if it happened too soon after the DLC was released. Six months later might be fine.

Just speculating.
 
I think Spa (or any future DLC tracks) should just come with an A-spec event to begin with. It would add value for the people who don't race online and I can't imagine it would be very difficult for them to do...
 
Can you do the B-Spec Spa race without buying it? Either way, since there's a B-Spec event, I'm sure there will be A-Spec soon.

And no A-Spec doesn't make it useless. Arcade races are 100x better than A-Spec. The laps you want, the car you want, damage/grip/fuel settings, opponents that drive as properly as they're capable and don't park.

If only the difficulty changed the cars you race against instead of the idiocy level of the Artificial Idiots. That or just let the player select a field or class. In certain cars it's nearly(or just is) impossible to win outright on Pro against the superior cars you're pitted against. But put it on intermediate and you'll have a 10 second lead in less than 10 minutes of driving the same car on the same track against the same cars that were 5 seconds a lap faster than you last race. Then rubber banding kicks in.

Let us change our opponents, turn off rubberbanding, enable Weak slipstream(and perhaps penalties) and Arcade mode would be GT5 offline heaven.

Well, partially true. They could only race Spa given the limitations of that said seasonal, and could only use it if they had a stable online connection. I wouldn't be surprised if there was a time trial there and not a seasonal. We've seen Kart Space get a time trial (since its a bit impractical to run a seasonal there).
 
I can see PD putting out a Time Trial but not a seasonal...By doing this PD can show off Spa for a week,or however long seasonals last,as further enticement to those who have yet to purchase the track as a DLC...
So I wouldn`t hold my breathe for that Spa seasonal just yet.
