Why no premium Porsche?

It has been asked many many times.
For the simple reason that EA has an exclusive licensing deal with Porsche so no-one else can add real Porsches in their game.

EA let Turn10 have Porsche in Forza 1, 2 and 3. It's only recently where EA said "not anymore!" and didn't renew their contract with Turn10. So Forza 4 was left without Porsche. Why? Probably because EA realised that Forza makes more money than Shift does.

And I imagine EA made quite a nice sum out of the deal.

But they then realised that it might ''steal'' sales from them that they get since they have the only game with Porsche.

Like if people chose games because of the absence of one manufacturer (which has been replaced by a porsche tuner in both the GT series and forza 4.)

I just edited my post to say that its actually not the case.

Can't have Porsche because of a crap deal with EA.

But it does seem odd that they didn't give us a premium Ruf or three. I'd trade both the premium TVRs just for a premium Yellowbird.
