Some people may haven't noticed yet by the top gear test track is not in the game! Why isn't it? Does it have to do with the fact that forza have it in the game? And if, why does that matter? I really miss the track and Played on it quite a lot in gt5.
Does anyone really know why it isn't in or can we just guess why it's not?

Just guessing, but I believe that with the release of Forza 5 including all three Top Gear presenters and numerous TG-themed challenges, that Turn 10 and Top Gear wouldn't be happy about it being included in other games.

why is it then? i find forza the only good reason for not having it.
My answer to that is.. They,
meaning Gran Turismo & Forza. Have shared Top Gear before in
GT5 and Forza 4.
But I would have to say it is probably because of an exclusive deal made with Turn 10 and Top Gear to be featured only in Forza now. I miss it pretty bad myself.. Old TGTT. I personally would pay a minor fee for it as dlc.

The answer is, as ever, $$$. Microsoft/T10 will have bought out Sony/Polyphony's licencing deal with BBC Worldwide (the commercial arm of the Beeb that sells their stuff outside of the UK) with an extra sweetener on top so that they can have exclusivity.

For example, M$ and Sony may have paid BBCWW $500k each to have TG for Forza 4 and GT5.
This time round, M$ have said "hey, if we give you $1.2million will you give us an exclusive license" and someone in BBCWW has OK'd it, as seemingly they would rather have the extra $200k than hugely increase the numbers of people playing on the TG track.

(I have made up those numbers, no idea what the actual deal is)

because it is stupid and do not belong in a racing sim. i hate when the makers of racing sims do things like this.

This is why I hate xbox/microsoft. They buy up exclusive rights to everything. Or at least make sure Sony has nothing exclusive. Wouldn't even surprise me to see gt7 on xb1.

It's a stupid track with little to offer in the way of racing. GT6 has so much track content it doesn't need it.

They should simply rename it, "Dunsfold Aerodrome" & put it back in GT6. The track doesn't belong to The BBC or Top Gear, it is only used by them. Here's a quote from Wikipedia;

"The Top Gear test track is used by the BBC automotive television programme Top Gear. It is located at Dunsfold Aerodrome in Surry, United Kingdom. The track was designed by Lotus Cars as a testing facility for the Colin Chapman run company, with many of its Formula One cars tested there."

Source.

ill love to see gt7 on xbox one and forza on ps4 i hate games that are locked to a special media.

Was nice to have it in GT6, but wasnt best track to race around.

Dont miss really.

I would like the track back also, Maybe as DLC later down the road.

Turn 10 has voiced very loudly after there EA/Porsche battle that they would never block content from being in another game. I'm not defending anyone just saying that I doubt that Turn 10 has anything to do with it. More likely Poly weighed the license fee vs content and decided not to include the TG content this time.

supid forza copy gran turismo

Well, if it is really how hamtoucher said, i'm not sad about it...
They pay more than double to have exclusive on Top Gear Test track? With those money PD gave us Nurburgring console exclusive, Daytona, Willow Springs, Brands Hatch, Goodwood and the rights for all other real-track and real-cities... Deal with it...

Here a comparison on the track list:

http://forzamotorsport.wikia.com/wiki/Forza_Motorsport_5/Track_List

(middle page): http://gran-turismo.wikia.com/wiki/Gran_Turismo_6

Note that GT6's tracklist have the same number of FM5's one.... But actually GT6 one consider only location, meanwhile the FM5 one consider all variations of the tracks... What a pity for FM...

EDIT: and still, we have better original tracks... Grand Valley Speedway is the best track ever made in my opinion...

Glad it's not in GT6, Polyphony obviously had no idea what to do with it in GT5.

The lack of Reasonably Priced Cars, online leaderboards and standing starts spring to mind.

Outside of doing a list like this (Especially online which would be fun) I didn't see the point of it. There are so many great tracks around the world I would love to see added where real races could be done, that I didn't care if it was back or not.

Microsoft = Richest company in the world, and their directors don't like the fact that Sony has sold more than twice as many games consoles since the release of the PS1 in comparison to the X-Box. They are trying to OWN and dominate the console market as they have pretty much done with the PC market for years, by throwing money at businesses for exclusive rights and virtual ownership.

Bill Gates can kiss my fat hairy backside before I give in to Microsoft.
