Why Seasonal Event icon is missing?

What icons are you speaking of?

Other things are missing too, eg: can't access to the community, the error message shows not available for this version.

Need your help.

Notice a few icons are missing such as :

Official Events, Open Lobby, Online Car Dealerships, Seasonal Events

When click on "Community" got this error, "This feature is not available"

I thought the icons were missing for beginner drivers, but I'm at level 25 already, so puzzle by the missing icons.

How to check that I got the latest patch? read in the forum that the latest patch is 1.10.

All my other patches for PS3 games are updated automatically, but for GT5, is it updated manually?

I live in Singapore, and bought it in Singapore too.

Could it be due to region code issue? mine is R2.

My PS3 has a permanent connection to internet, which I also played COD and Bad Company 2.

I deleted my game data testing a trade glitch a few weeks ago, (not the game save, but the patch /update data.)
During the test I was shown the same message and not given any of the online icons,
Seasonal races, Online car dealership etc...
My game had been started 'Offline' with no patches installed.

All I can suggest for now is to use a USB stick and make a back-up of your gamesave. Keep a safe copy on your PC.
Then DELETE your game data. This will delete any patches/update glitches you may have.
When done, make sure your internet connection is live and restart the game.
It should tell you that updates will be required.

I've approx 13,000,000cr in my account and was contemplating to buy the
F2007 to try out the F1 circuit. According to GTplanet forum, there is limited use for the F2007 car and not sure if it is a good buy.

I've already backup the GT5 gamesave to the thumbdrive, but if I decide not to keep the F2007 and restore the GT5 gamesave, will I get back the 13,000,000 cr and the other cars in the garage?

What is the correct method to restore the gamesave? some of the forumers here suggested I need to delete the GT5 gamesave in PS3 before restore, which I hesistate, because it took me awhile to accumulate the credits and the cars.

Please advice.

It's simple and easy to do. Just remember to make regular back-ups to your PC.
Copy gamesave to USB and PC.
Buy whichever car you want, and try it out.
If you don't like it reload from your USB, no need to delete the gamesave first.
You will not lose any of your cars, gear or credits, only the new car that you don't like.
You may however lose one or two car thumbnail pics in your garage.
To resolve this just press Triangle on the car, and 'Create Thumbnail'

Birthday and special tickets are another way to obtain or try out different expensive cars.

Don't buy the F1, go to the Marketplace and acquire a level 24 ticket. I'd send it but Hurricane Irene screwed me. >
