Why spec 2.0 made me like Standards MORE than Premiums

The blacked out views are good, during a race I don't really notice if I'm in a premium or a standard. I would like the see my own car a bit. Toyota 2000 fees odd as you know you should see something out there. Looking backwards in a truck is also very odd. Overall, I really like it.

Fully agreed. I still can't understand why we can't see our own car either. The ones you can see look just fine, considering. Maybe something to do with not correctly lining up with the silhouettes?

I can't drive properly with these blacked out interiors. The lack of a visible steering wheel makes it really difficult for me compared to premium cars. I keep driving standard cars in bumper view. Furtermore, I do not like the idea that nice graphics are being erased by a black frame.

They have clearly put some effort into modelling the interior, the stand holding the in car mirror is usually a different shape or size. Depending on the car.

The black interior feels like the bottom layer of the detail interior view.

Yea guys the 900 degree steering is exactly what has been described.

Its frustrating seeing people not even be aware of this problem let alone care and shame on PD for not adressing such a vital issue while cheap games on PC do it fine. It should be one of the most fundamental things in a sim after physics. How can you look at a wheel being turned a certain amount and seeing the car turn twice as much as the wheel is indicating without being phased? :yuck:

Its like having a fighting game where the boxer swings, misses the enemy by half an arm length and it registers as a direct hit.

Its the only thing I have ever wanted from PD.

Turn your wheel any amount, look at how much it turns in the game and look how much you have turned you wheel. Gt5 can only make 1/4 of a rotation in each direction compared to the many you have made with your own wheel and the many that would have been made in real life.

While we are at it why not make the wheel turn in the opposite direction, or just random directions. Its staggering how many people are ok with this.

Just look at real cars racing and compare them to GT5. Its off by a huge amount

The corners are gentle and sweeping and look how much the wheel needs to be turned.

I understand 900 degree animation looks more awkard and is harder to program, but they had it working in prologue and honestly its a lot better than having conflict of information. Heck I have no problem with making it a secret option you have to hold L2 R2 or something when entering the options to access.

Awkard animations is a lot better than impossible ones anyday.

Kaz does real motorracing. I don't know how he think his cockpit view looks realistic....

Simple answer. We're all aware of the "problem" and aren't bothered by it, other than a few who can't ignore it. I'm looking at the road, not my car's wheel, and if I need to know far I'm turning I'll check how my hands feel, not look at either.

If they implemented this, then they'd have to come up with something for the 200 degree wheels. And what about those who can change the wheel's rotation to whatever they want? What about real cars that don't turn 900?

It would be nice but it's not that important.

What? The 200 degree wheels are catered for With the current animations if you were inclined to keep playing with wrong ratios or using a ds3. Adjustable wheels need no extra vinsideration
Gt5 does not need to concern itself with it or what rotation settings you have. It only needs to match the physics engine to the wheel animations. If you go to outside view and watch the wheels turn as you turn the wheel you will notice they match perfectly.

Real cars that dont turn 900 degrees simply turn normally up until they reach their maximum lock then any more turning of your 900 degree wheel has no effect. The force feedback also gets maximum heavy at that point so you know thats the lock of this car. Just like tons of other games have done so in the past. E.g wrc for ps3. The maximum lock of each car is piss easy and is already Implemented. The only issue is making the animation look natural which no one that wants 1:1 rotation cares about
